Sleater-Kinney is my first album? Hella good start, but I feel a little targeted.
I've certainly listened to Dig Me Out before but it's been ages.
A classic to be sure, but Nirvana never resonates with me that much - though I prefer them to most other grunge acts.
London Calling is such a titan of an album but it suffers from it's own success in a way a lot of the great art of that period does - everyone that came after wanted to make their shit sound the same, and a lot of them succeeded. The Clash were one of the first punk bands I connected with as a kid, and London Calling is a big part of that.
Now this is some FUNK.
This is the sort of album you've been hearing all your life without knowing it.
I've never given Prince much time beyond what I knew from stuff like Batman '89 and just his general cultural footprint and this is a great way to crack into what could be a very intimidating discography.

It reminds me of listening to my dad's records as a kid. Not listening to it on vinyl feels almost criminal.
Listening to classics for the first time is always an absolute treat.
I think of the Who so synonymously with Who's Next, Tommy, and Quadrophenia that I forget about that raw feel of this album. What a great slice of British Invasion rock, and while I feel like I'm rating it harshly I know just how far The Who would go.
A solid fun album.
I think a significant part of this score is just based on the strength of the Passenger. What a song, what an album.

Probably the most contemporary album on my list so far. This album was freakin' everywhere when it came out so it's tough to approach it fresh.
I don't even especially like Dylan that much but dude's a legend for a damn reason.
