1001 Albums Summary

Feels very nostalgic, what a fantastic album. Crazy how this was her sophomore album and it solidified her long-term spot in the pop industry. I fully understand why this album is a part of the 1001, objectively 5 stars and I wiill never stop quoting "I am my mothers child"

sunny winter morning, I was surprised by the sound of this album because I was expecting it to be folky off of my visual impression. Words that come to mind are smooth, warm, a little cozy even??? I enjoyed myself! Favorite songs are just a little lovin and the windmills of your mind (what a fantastic song name I am obsessed)

Snowy grey sky afternoon. This is the type of album I really wish I was listening to on a warm day with a joint in my hand and nothing to do. I will be revisiting. Favorite songs are maybe your baby, and you are the sunshine of my life. That one rlly sparked something in me I love love. Actual rating is like a 4.5

Snowiest winter morning yet. What a fun project but my feelings are conflictingggg. Bro had a concept and most definitely executed it. This album feels super experimental (idk if that’s true for the time) yet familiar. THIS feels like the hop in trip hop, I was bumping. The other side of the coin is like … why is your concept being an implied expert on women’s vaginas (eyeroll) type of mf who wouldn’t know his way w a damn map. 4 for instrumentals and influence but 2 for execution so.. 3 stars it is Bear witness - insane instrumentals 3000 - favorite flow No awareness - groovy and reliable Real raw - last 2 mins go crazy

Sunny winter afternoon. This album is quite the yearners paradise if you yearn in the tune of blues rock. It didn’t spark any super strong feelings or wholly resonate with me, but this just isn’t a genre I connect with like that. Actual rating 3.5 Fav: Thorn tree in the garden. Quite beautiful. Like really beautiful I think I could listen to that one for a long time and probably will

6am and dark. There are songs here I thoroughly enjoy and songs I quite dislike and DNF. I liked a friend is the best I think. Something about this album felt performative idk
