Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Dec 09 2025

I simply don’t think this album was for me, I can musically see the appeal and it’s a very well done album but it’s just not my personal cup of tea in terms of vocals, genre, and the 2 hour runtime. If I really sat down and gave it another listen I think I could rate it higher but i honestly don’t have the push to even listen to the second half. I do really love the song from them I’ve grown up listening to like ‘Tonight, Tonight’, ‘Bullet With Butterfly Wings’, and ‘1979’ Strong 2/5, leaning towards 3

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Dec 10 2025

I really enjoyed this album, every song had something enjoyable about it and I could definitely see myself returning to this album again. “Stand!” Is such a good song and it was nice hearing the original song “Everyday People” after hearing so many covers of it. Decent 4/5, would recommend

3 Feet High and Rising by De La Soul
Dec 11 2025

This was a super fun and feel good album with fantastic sampling and a lighthearted, humorous tone. I just felt good by the end of my listen. This is one of my dad’s favorite albums so it adds an extra positive bonus to it. 5/5 would recommend

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Dec 12 2025

Eh, I can appreciate the sampling on this album and there were a few moments I enjoyed, but it was overall a bit forgettable for me. I wouldn’t mind listening to this album again if I had to but I doubt I’d go back to it again, not my cup of tea personally. Strong 2/5, I feel like I know people who would like this a lot more than I do

Dec 14 2025

I’ve always enjoyed any songs I’ve heard of theirs in passing, so sitting down and listening to a full album was very exciting and I was not let down. Great album with great sampling, choruses that get stuck in your head, memorable lyrics. I would 100% return to this album again 5/5 would recommend

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Dec 14 2025

This album just felt like the 80s in a really good way, I enjoyed every song and it just felt really polished. I recognized so many of these songs so I think it was just a nostalgic experience all around. 4/5, idk if I’d recommend it to people tho

Shaft by Isaac Hayes
Dec 17 2025

It’s a little difficult to rate this album because I haven’t seen the movie but the instrumentation was fantastic. It makes me want to see the movie, considering the soundtrack already has so much personality to it. 4/5, I don’t think I can rate it any lower because I can see the deep artistic value and could see myself going back to it when I need fun background music

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Jan 14 2026

This was a very enjoyable classic rock album! Catchy melodies and fun guitar solos. I liked the first half of the album more than the second, it really kept my attention but I still think it was an overall good experience. Light 4/5

Sister by Sonic Youth
Jan 15 2026

There were some parts of the album that really captured me, but for the most part I was bored and wished I was listening to something else. I do think a lot of artistry was put into this album and it’s more than just random chords and screams but I don’t have any interest to look deeper. Light 2/5

Want Two by Rufus Wainwright
Jan 16 2026

It’s Radiohead for theatre kids what can I say. Light 5/5, I feel like there were a few songs I didn’t like as much as others but I feel like they could grow on me a lot.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Jan 17 2026

Extremely boring and repetitive, every time I expected something to get interesting I’d be let down. I couldn’t even finish it I was bored from the first song.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis
Jan 18 2026

A classic, enjoyable, iconic album that shaped jazz as a whole. Not more that I can say that's already been said about this masterpiece.

Pornography by The Cure
Jan 20 2026

I think I’m too happy and whimsical to enjoy this album. I’ll try again when I’m spiraling

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Jan 21 2026

Great dreamy vibes, I can see myself returning to this album again!

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Jan 22 2026

I love ‘Shine on You Crazy Diamond’ so much, my only complaint is that those songs are too short. Such a classic album!!
