Popular Reviews

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder

Psyched when this one came on, but realized that I'm not sure if I've ever listened to this album all the way through. Definitely didn't expect a prog/fusion jam like Contusion to be on the same album as Sir Duke, but it absolutely shreds. Today in Super Bold Takes, I'll put it out there that Sir Duke into I Wish is an absolutely elite one-two punch. Not doing individual reviews for each song, but as expected this album absolutely fucks. 5 stars.

Urban Hymns by The Verve

Liked it, didn't love it. Similar feelings to Bittersweet Symphony - some songs I really like and would keep listening to, but definitely not a no-skip album for me

Abbey Road by Beatles
Dec 23 2025

Yeah it's the beatles and it's cliche but this album fucks

Lost Souls by Doves
Dec 25 2025

Wasn't a huge fan to start off, but I really enjoyed the middle and end of it. Not a 100% hit rate for me, but some really nice songs nestled in there

Dirt by Alice In Chains

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Jan 13 2026

Obviously great

Dust by Screaming Trees
Jan 14 2026

Honestly enjoyed this way more than I expected to. Gets a little stale towards the end, but I really enjoyed most of the songs here

Snivilisation by Orbital
Jan 16 2026

Feels like one of those 90's "internet is the information superhighway" videos where you're flying through a CGI black hole. Bleepy and bloopy. Got better over time, but still not really something that I'd be listening to except for in the background while working or after doing ketamine. 3.2 starts

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 20 2026

So wildly operatic and dramatic and overdone and entertaining and stupid and catchy and dumb and awesome. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I have been, but it fucks. 4.22 stars

American Idiot by Green Day
Jan 22 2026

Full transparency that this rating is fully colored by weapons-grade nostalgia of this being one of the first things I really got into a full album as opposed to individual songs I bought on iTunes. I cried one time when I wasn't included to sing "Wake Me Up When September Ends" at Nature's Classroom. Haven't listened to it in a while but this album still fucks.

Sulk by The Associates
Jan 23 2026

Song 1: What the absolute fuck is going on with the snare fills. The drum programming on this song actively gives me anxiety and I hate it so much Song 2: I just read some background on them and they actually sound insane and fun! This song is also better than the first one. I didn't make it 100% of the way through the album, but it definitely got better over time. Either the first song is one of the most grating pieces of music I've ever heard or it caught me on a bad day, but I was grooving more and not thinking about how i actively disliked it anymore. 2.9 stars - it doesn't fully fuck, but it could be worse

Jan 26 2026

I don't know why I didn't think I'd enjoy this one, but I was surprised at how much I liked it. For some reason I think I expected it to be 11 slightly different versions of Bohemian Rhapsody (which doesn't make sense since I've definitely heard other Queen songs) but it really felt like a much more varied and balanced album. 4.4 stars, definitely fucks.

Reggatta De Blanc by The Police
Jan 27 2026

I feel like I should really like this, but I just really don't. Message in a bottle is great and stewart copeland is sick, but I just really didn't have much fun with this. I'm writing this as I listen to No Time This Time which is honestly the most fun song on the album and is legitimately putting this back into 3 star-ville. 3.1 stars, doesn't really fuck.
