Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Dec 18 2025

I knew this album before it was recommended here and I have never listened to it from tip to tail before and it was amazing! So many songs I already knew and loved and heard some new ones that I genuinely enjoyed.

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Dec 19 2025

I loved this album when I was 15, it’s been 18 years and it just doesn’t hit the way it did when I was a teenager in high school with a lot of angst. The album felt really disjointed and like each song didn’t accompany the next one. It didn’t feel cohesive at all.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Dec 20 2025

Absolutely stunning of an album. I found myself being interested in re-listening to it! Just fun cool Dad vibes through and through. The music and the singing flowed from song to song and I recognized a lot of these songs from growing up and listening to the radio and from playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero. I could see myself putting it on in the background while cooking or during a BBQ.

I can imagine what came after and the influences this album created and it was just uncomfortable noise. I couldn't even make it through the entire thing. ;-;

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Dec 24 2025

Buddy Holly is one of my favorite artists and I got lucky with this choice. It was all just a bunch of sweet and sappy love songs and it worked for me. I often ask myself what would music have been like if the loss of his life hadn't happened...

This album has been with me forever, am a big xx fan. I ended up listening to their entire discog after this. Ride or die.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green

Seriously. All stars. 10 stars, 100 stars. The love songs, the soul, the funk, the sadness, the joy... This album is incredible. I listened to it twice back to back.
