Popular Reviews

Hot Fuss by The Killers

Didn’t care for The Killers when they first came out. Don’t really care now. Perhaps I’ve heard Mr. Bright side one too many timea

Back In Black by AC/DC

Such a classic. It’s the blueprint for a 1000 other albums. You grow up believing that Angus is the better guitarist but real maturity happens when you realize just how solid Malcolm truly was

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Dec 23 2025

Sounds like the soundtrack of a night filled with cheap whiskey and cigarettes spent trying to hold pseudo-intellectual conversation but you’re just talking over each other and when it’s all said and done nothing has changed but you remember nodding your head a lot and it was kind of a good time but now you have a headache and you shaved your beard into a mustache… and there’s a dick on the side of your face.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Dec 24 2025

This album seems to tell the story of the rise and fall of a first love. Reminds me of the egocentric feelings of young adulthood, believing you’re going to live forever, meeting someone who can make it all slide away then realizing their music is shite and you hate everything about them. Great guitar riffs, solid rhythm section, similar sounding solos in many of the songs, Noel Gallagher’s voice and enunciation got to be annoying at times

Debut by Björk
Dec 25 2025

Bjork is like a super horny alien and I. Am. Here. For. It.

Play by Moby
Dec 27 2025

I did it. I listened to it. I don’t have to listen to it again.

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Dec 28 2025

I understand why this album was included on the list and I can appreciate the sheer musical talent of everyone involved - the fact that the majority of it was improvised is amazing. However, with that being said, this was a chore to listen to. I don’t appreciate fusion apparently and I’m ok with that. If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis

Picture Book by Simply Red
Dec 31 2025

Made it through a few songs. If this is one of the 1001 albums to hear before you die, I’d rather die than hear this garbage again

Psychocandy by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Jan 01 2026

This was an album. It contained music.

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Jan 02 2026

I could hear early Modest Mouse and McClusky in these guys. Obviously Pere Ubu was hugely influenced by those two bands. I read somewhere that they listened to them all the time In their time machines

Tres Hombres by ZZ Top
Jan 03 2026

Good grooves, solid middle of the road album

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Jan 04 2026

Didn’t care for The Killers when they first came out. Don’t really care now. Perhaps I’ve heard Mr. Bright side one too many timea

Jan 07 2026

It’s cool that this album pretty much launched the ambient music genre. But, I just don’t like ambient music. Reminds me of Ross Geller with his keyboard.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Jan 08 2026

Niles Roger’s guitar playing and Bernard Edward’s bass playing were a treat to listen to, but very little else was enjoyable. I guess I need some cocaine the next time I listen to this

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Jan 09 2026

Fantastic beats, some of the skits and lyrics didn’t age that well, overall classic album. No one needs to hear Dr. Dre having sex on an album

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 10 2026

Such a classic. It’s the blueprint for a 1000 other albums. You grow up believing that Angus is the better guitarist but real maturity happens when you realize just how solid Malcolm truly was

Call of the Valley by Shivkumar Sharma
Jan 11 2026

First time listening to an album of Indian music. My only previous exposure would be second hand through the Beatles. It was cool to hear what influenced their later work and I can respect the talent being captured on this album. But, it’s not something I would listen to again

Gold by Ryan Adams
Jan 12 2026

Douchebag emotional abuser writes songs about emotions. Listened to it drunk enough times. One star. However La Cienega is a great fucking song

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Jan 14 2026

Welp, this is the first album that has me rethinking this whole thing. 5 stars for being completely unlistenable
