Too unserious and all songs sound the same!!!!

who’da thunk penguins could convey such emotional depth!? i knew they could write but who knew they could compose and play!?! i was going to give this album a 2 until about the 7th minute of ‘the sound of someone you love who’s going away and it doesn’t matter’ and something just clicked. it’s more tender and bittersweet than i expected an album written by penguins could be.

Funky coolness!

i have never listened to Iron Maiden all the way through and only realised TODAY that it’s their debut album?!? what do you mean your first ever album comes out sounding this confident and fully formed - scrappy and chaotic and melodic. realising I prefer UK metal over US. more charming? easier listening! idk what it is. also, 80s Steve Harris is hair goals for real real. xoxo, closeted metal head

the effortless cool of the album cover should tell you enough about this album - Harry writes and performs with the ease of someone who knows he’s outrageously talented and doesn’t need to prove it. Good enough for The Beatles, good enough for me!!

first album I bought on vinyl when I started collecting and is still a regular play. I love Debbie Harry !!
