Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Jan 06 2026

The first album generated and dear lord we are running. Am appauled that I've never taken the time to listen this album before, but grateful that it will never again be true.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jan 07 2026

Heart of glass! Sunday girl! One way or another! Okay yes these are the classics…but for a reason! I will say that I perhaps didn't give this my full attention when listening and found that I wasn't as interested in the songs that hadn't been huge hits.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Jan 09 2026

Elliot Smith is a conflicting one for me. I only discovered his music last year, after learning how many of my favourite artists attribute Smith as a great inspiration - Phoebe Bridgers, Big Theif, Clairo. Despite this, I don't find his music as easy to listen too? I wonder if I’d grown up with it, would I resonate more? At this moment in life, I find it almost unrelatable and too angsty to really enjoy. That said, perhaps his musics isn't to be enjoyed as such. The rawness of his lyrics are parallel to his life - understanding more about his background was interesting and adds depth to the melancholy lyrics…art that makes you think. Clearly I just hate thinking.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jan 13 2026

Incredible album made even better by the association to Glastonbury where Nile Rodgers performed with CHIC. Appreciate the prompt to go back and listen - boogie central fr

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Jan 14 2026

Never heard of penguin cafe orchestra. Ohhh so now we are really expanding our music knowledge - this album surpassed expectations even with a band name like that. Love orchestral music, mostly just instruments capturing the essence of emotion with the occasional vocal thrown in on songs like “milk”. I am going to feel soooo better than when I next suggest this album to someone.

Rust Never Sleeps by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Jan 16 2026

Woof woof woof. Album Fab - reminded me of Glasto with Kendra and the fact Neil young kinda reminded us of Nana! Also playing this and letting all the recommended tracks play after was a treat
