The sound is what I would call "how most old rock songs sounds like", and the vibe of the cover matches it as well. It sounds generic, in a way, but maybe that is what some modern rock songs tries to re-create today. An inspiration idk. The guitar I liked the most, not so much for the vocalists, but he wasn't bad, just wasn't my taste I guess. Though, he did sound good singing slower songs and not screaming (screeching).
I enjoyed listening to Tombstone Shadow, Sinister Purpose, and The Night Time is the Right Time.

I'm already familiar of this album, but not FULLY (heard of it) for its live performance. I really liked how they played the melody on "The Man Who Sold the World", the musicians in this band is good at their instruments and vocals served as well. I also enjoyed "Come as You Are", which I have already listened to in the past.
However, sometimes I get confused on what he wants to talk about in the music. It's like trying to write a purposeful essay while drunk.
I think I prefer the studio version more, because I didn't like how some songs sounded in this. It was like something was missing.

First thing I noticed is how sweet & smooth her voice is, like a cool breeze on a night. The vibe or sound of the album was light hearted in a way. I enjoyed listening to it, but my type of music if just far from this genre, though Jazz is something I will be up to listen to.

A strong opening song and it was filled with groove. When the 1st song ended, it smoothly transitioned to the other song, but I don't know if that's just because of the app where I listened it to. My ears definitely appreciated hearing the guitar solo and riffs throughout the album.
Additionally, I think there are some songs (La Grange) in here that will be featured on some old guy's facebook account with a video compilation of their construction job. As stereotypically manly as it can be.

As the name of the album suggests, it pulls in a groovy sound from the bass or a horn or keyboard that almost mimics a background music from old, exploration type of pixel games. It sounds so chic and if angels wore futuristic wings that shoots laser. This made me feel like I'm somewhere in outer space, chilling with the otherworldly beings.
The type of songs in this album is really dependent on vibes and I think it is more fitting for random dancing like you're the wind itself and not for the type of song to be with other people. This is when your room is the dance floor and you let the lights dim around you. Then, dance carefree alone.
Also, Talisman sounds like if Pink Panther was in a super secret mission to defeat an evil, underground boss. It's good though.

The instrumentals in this album is a vibe to say the least. The bass line are good, but I'm not a big fan of how they sing some songs. The melody of them singing sounds unique. It's not the worse though. For the lyrics, they had some clever ones, then they have some that I think was a bit nonsense like it was a part of a "cool" rapping scene in some cartoon. I also appreciate on this album is how eccentric they deliver their vocal with such intent and swerve.
I also found out they had a lot of members in this band. So, with this, I think I actually preferred hearing Shara, Marshall, and Willie Wee.

Honourable mention/s:
Lately -> the vocals were great, the bass and synth (?) were also decent, but it just felt like something was missing or maybe it was a little repetitive

This album sounds so country and the instruments sounds good, but the melody is not that unique. It sounds generic. Kinda of bored me and the vocals is not serving either, it's not the worse, but it he did sound hoarsely annoying. However, I think the album shines on slower paced songs, which is surprising because I usually prefer upbeat/messy/loud songs.

The instruments sounds mysterious, fit for a running away scene on a show LOL. The harmonization is also good, it really adds to its whimsy in a way.

This album exudes coolness. One thing's for sure, the guitar did not disappoint. There are some cheeky lyrics on here as well, like on "Are You Experienced" and some poetic lines as well. It is on "The Wind Cries Mary", which goes:
"Will the wind ever remember
The names it has blown in the past?
And with this crutch
Its old age and its wisdom
It whispers, "No, this will be the last"

This album sounds gloomy, but it isn't dark. This captures when the sun warmly lay on your face during the afternoon. When you just woken up from sleep and eager to play with your friends. Like you don't have a clue that this fun will eventually end.
For me, the instruments sounds fine, though I feel most of it are quite repetitive, with mostly the rhythms is the only one changing, with some few add-ons of different percussion or cello. The lyrics are lovely though. I just wish he would do more style to the way he is singing. His voice is not bad, just too alike throughout the album, in a way.
These lyrics from Fruit Tree are so gut-wrenching:
"Safe in the womb
Of an everlasting night
You'll find the darkness can
Give the brightest light
Safe in your place deep in the earth
That’s when they’ll know what you were really worth"

I imagine this album as two people who is on a date, surrounded by flowers and fuzzy feelings in a warm-lit room with a dice pattern on the restaurant's floor and one of them is probably working on a secret top mission because they're a spy.
The songs are a vibe and it calms me while I do my work. Even though it has no words, it feels as though the sax is speaking with me.
