1001 Albums Summary

This was a good listen. Very soulful, it reminded me of being a kid and listening to the Shining Time Station theme song. They are completely unrelated, except that there is a sort of wholesome softness that exists in both that puts them in the same drawer in my brain.

This album probably deserves a higher score but I enjoyed it three stars worth. I think I found this album to be at it's best when it felt like the second coming of Bruce Springsteen. That that for all it's worth.

A strong record. I didn’t enjoy all of it but it was undeniably inspired.

tHIS ALBUM WAS FANTASTIC! i HAD ONLY KNOWN OUTKAST AS A SORT OF SOULFUL GROUP THAT RAPPED VERY WELL. tHE FRENETIC ENERGY HERE WAS BOTH SURPRISING AND EXTREMELY COOL! oH SHOOT, CAPSLOCK IS ON.

This is a great album. EXTREMELY of it's time but also ahead. I see how it acted as the tip of the arrowhead for a certain type of music of this era.

I was unprepared for this to be a jazz-fusion jam band. I really enjoyed this record...mostly. Some of the songs were absurdly long

I LOVED this album! The production is so gritty and the way that the bass pushes the songs forward was really enjoyable. This feels like cool girl music. Is that a thing?

I LOVED this album. It is enthralling. There's something intimate about the vocal mix and style. This feels like a conversation I'm listening in on.

I did not finish it, I listened to half the album but wasn't really pulled in. I didn't necessarily dislike it, I just didn't enjoy it either.
