I’ve listened to this album already— remember NYC w Jos?
My fav songs before listening:
N.Y. State of Mind + The World Is Yours
After listening:
Memory Lane + It Ain't Hard to Tell
Thoughts:
I liked it, but I'm not always in the mood for this sound. Definitely see how he influenced Joey Badass. BARS, nonetheless.
This is an album I have never even heard of before.
Favorites:
- Policy of Truth
- Sibeling
- Kaleid
Thoughts:
This is not really my jam, but probably needs a few more listens for me to really "get it". At first I liked the techno/synth sound, but personally found it repetitive. Near the end of the album with songs like Memphisto and Sibeling, the piano is featured more heavily and those songs remind me of the BoTW soundtrack. Overall, not the sound I was looking for, but I think I should re-listen when I'm in a different mood.
I didn't recognize this album at first, but then I got to Take Five...
8th grade jazz band memories straight to the dome.
Favorites:
- Everything after track 3 (Take Five).
- I actually really liked the live songs at the end for some reason; I usually don't like live renditions.
Thoughts:
This album makes me want to hop back on the sax. I don't have much to say apart from that, just makes me miss an earlier time. "Ya Like Jazz?"
Never heard of this album before.
Favorites:
Black Man’s Cry
Thoughts:
I liked it. The history behind this album (Being a live performance with a studio audience, Creation of Afrobeat) is cool. Great percussion throughout and I like the vibe. This isn’t something I can listen to whenever though.
Never heard of this Paul Simon guy but he slaps.
Favorites:
Run That Body Down, Armistice Day, Hobo's Blues, Paranoia Blues
Thoughts:
I think this especially hit for me since I finished RDR2 recently and this type of music has grown on me. The twangs are hitting for me. Defintely worth a relisten.
Never heard of this album, except for Wonderwall.
Favorites:
- Wonderwall
- Cast No Shadow
- Morning Glory
- Champagne Supernova
Thoughts:
Definitely a mood specific album. It's a little too rock for me sometimes, but I liked Cast No Shadow and Wonderwall a lot.
Heard of U2 of course, but never really got into their stuff... until now.
Favorites:
Even Better Than the Real Thing, One, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, The Fly, Ultra Violet (Light My Way)
Thoughts:
I actually really liked this album as I listened to it. I don't now why I never liked U2 before. Probably because Apple shoved them down my throat once and I decided U2 = bad. DEF WORTH A LISTEN!!
Heard of Van Halen and the song Jump, but not this album.
Favorites:
Panama, I'll Wait, Girl Gone Bad, House of Pain
Thoughts:
Second listen got me into it more, worth a listen again some day.
Never heard of this album.
Favorites:
Dirge, Aladdin's Story
Thoughts:
Everytime I started to get into the album and sound it yanked me back out with something I didn't like. Overall this is not my thing.
Never heard of this.
Favorites:
Goin' Back
Thoughts:
Pleasant enough, this is the music I'd listen to if I was next to a babbling brook under the sun.
Heard of A Tribe Called Quest, never listened to a full album.
Favorites:
After Hours, Bonita Applebum
Thoughts:
Liked it, worth a listen at some point in the future. I feel like white rappers listened to this album and copied the flow without thinking.
I’ve heard of Bob Dylan before.
Favorites:
Visions of Johanna, I Want You, Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again, Just Like a Woman, Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I’ll Go Mine)
Thoughts:
If I ever listen to this album again SKIP THE FIRST TWO. These first two were so hick/hillbilly it turned me off the album but after that it was alright. I hate the harmonica, and the first two songs feature it so heavily. Somehow over the course of the album my ears opened up and I was able to enjoy the return of the harmonica on the back half of the album. Bob Dylan is a wizard but the first two songs still suck.
I’ve listened to this album before.
Favorites:
Machine Gun Funk, One More Chance, Juicy, Me and My Bitch, Big Poppa, Friend of Mine
Thoughts:
I liked this album a lot more this time. I love his flow, the production, everything just hit me harder on this. The raw sound of the drums, and simple piano backing combined with Biggie’s voice makes me go … BUT, this album induced skips due to the moaning. “Biggie be like ‘this song slaps, let me add some women moaning’”
I’ve heard of The xx.
Favorites:
A Violent Noise, Replica, On Hold
Thoughts:
FIFA music but in a good way, pop for ravers. This electrical guitar hits me in the feels, nostalgic for a different time.
I’ve heard of Led Zeppelin
Favorites:
Whole Lotta Love, What Is and Should Never Be, Ramble On
Thoughts:
I think I like hard rock more than “classic” rock. This album definitely resonated more with me than Bob Dylan. Not my cup of tea every day of the week, but I’d like the energy on Saturday mornings.
I’ve heard of Frank Sinatra.
Favorites:
I’ve Got You Under My Skin, We’ll Be Together Again
Thoughts:
This guy is so good at singing he makes me want to sing. However, as someone who likes instrumentals these songs kinda meld together with the bass, piano, trumpets + reminds me of Christmas music.
Never heard of them.

Thoughts:
I don't think I like live albums. I don't have much thoughts didn't leave an impression.
Never heard of em.
Favorites:
- The Ocean
Thoughts:
Not too shabby but not too great. Listen again at some point tho, The Ocean is so fire.
Never heard of this guy.

Thoughts:
Fuck this album. Made me quit this list for a week.
Heard of Marvin Gaye.
Favorites:
- No song separated itself from the pack, but I did like the front half of the album more.
Thoughts:
THIS MY SHIT.
Never heard of this guy or this album.

Thoughts:
Fuck this album too, this made me quit this thing for like a whole 2 months.
I've listened to parts of this. Band in high school made me play some of these songs.
Favorites:
- Changes
- Life on Mars?
- Quicksand
Thoughts:
I like David Bowie's music, but I feel it is a bit repetitive sometimes. I would like to hear his voice more than his instrumentals.
Heard of him.
Favorites:
Visions, Golden Lady, Don’t You Worry About A Thing
Straight vibes, a must listen
Meh, never heard of him, Meh
Not too shabby. Never heard of her.
I liked Run Baby Run and Solidify.
