Surfer Rosa by Pixies

Crazy this sounds so ahead of its time. The blueprint for alt rock for the next two decades. Ya it’s a banger. Where is my mind is great. So are lots of other songs.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Feb 28 2026

Better than I thought. Really expected this to just be dad rock. and it was, but it was also good. Best tracks for me: Luna, Fooled Again, Strangered in the Night.

Smash by The Offspring
Mar 01 2026

A couple tracks were alright. Most of it feels like an angry 12 year old child of divorce got the Tom Hanks’s “Big” experience. And also, hidden tracks suck! Songs that I didn’t dislike: keep em separated, self esteem (this has bad romance intro).

Mar 02 2026

Unplugged more like un good. I’ve never really gotten into nirvana or grunge in general and this live set with all the energizing electric sounds removed certainly didn’t change my mind. Plateau here is genuinely one of the worst vocal performances I’ve heard.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Mar 03 2026

This is like the Stone’s Hard Days Night in that it’s their first record with all originals. But also the analogy holds in. That they aren’t at their strongest yet. Still good! But between the buttons, let it bleed, satanic majesties are all better imo. I really can’t believe the UK version just left paint it black on the shelf like that though. Fave tracks: going home, out of time, take it or leave it

Harvest by Neil Young
Mar 04 2026

What a great record. Beautiful songwriting. The more orchestra heavy songs aren't landing for me as strongly as the rest of the record. Old man and Words are incredible songs. Listening to this, the influence many of my favorite artists take from Neil Young is abundantly clear. Wilco, Jason Molina, etc.

Mar 05 2026

The grooves were pretty good. The flute on Freedom Rider was awesome. I really liked the rendition of the classic John Barleycorn song too. I rarely stay fully invested all the way through this kind of prog album. The ones that stand out are really great but this one was just alright to me.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
Mar 06 2026

Cool dramatic 80s alt sound. I like this stuff personally.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Mar 09 2026
Aja by Steely Dan
Mar 11 2026

Nothing is really bad or anything per se, but this whole record feels a bit too clean and rigidly structured. It doesn’t feel alive to me. Also I hate the fusion rock saxophone production on here.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Mar 12 2026

I love Stevie wonders voice I could listen to him sing forever

Brothers by The Black Keys
Mar 16 2026

total bleh holy cow

Mar 17 2026

The world’s first and last good Big Music band.

Arrival by ABBA
Mar 19 2026

I hate this band so much

Sincere by Mj Cole
Mar 20 2026

this wasn't good

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Mar 23 2026

Bro I’m not even really ever into this type of pops in English. I fuck with Champs Elysees and all but this was just meh. Also the applause on this live recording is too loud

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Mar 24 2026

This was all around better than their debut honestly. Will def return to it.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Mar 25 2026

pretty alright. i like a lot of iggy's performance. gimme danger was my favorite track

Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
Mar 27 2026

I like the old school hip hop sound a lot and so the beats carried this for me. Not a lot captured my attention otherwise.

Disintegration by The Cure
Mar 28 2026

the drama on this album is unbeatable

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Mar 29 2026

Crazy this sounds so ahead of its time. The blueprint for alt rock for the next two decades. Ya it’s a banger. Where is my mind is great. So are lots of other songs.

Make Yourself by Incubus
Apr 01 2026

I have a pretty strong distaste for this sort of compressed clean distortion sound on 90s alt rock and nu metal type records. For such an "edgy" attempted image, this shit is too manicured, too controlled. boring and fake. its saved by like 2 decently good songs. drive and pardon me. and also the random hip hop moments which are the best parts of the record.

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Apr 02 2026

This album is very much my shit. I agree with just about every interesting choice they made here. Violin to close out? Hell yes.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush
Apr 05 2026

not very focused listen but i liked it. gonna relisten for sure
