Nine Inch Nails on a chalkboard. Put Nine Inch Nails in my ears before making me listen to this again

Shoegaze is Lo-fi for perfomative people

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
May 04 2026

Haven't listened to much of Johnny Cash but this seems to show his personality so much, with his talks and jokes betweeen songs. Probably won't listen to it again, but really cool to hear such an iconic artist live with not cuts between, and to hear the audience listening/reacting (Especially when knowing who the audience is). Kinda like a time capsule of that specific culture and time.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
May 05 2026

Awesome album. Gotta listen to more of Jimi Hendrix, didnt realise the impact he had in such a short time

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
May 06 2026

Pretty good but gets a little samey. Did not expect this kind of music when I read the genre but I enjoyed it. Blister in the sun is a classic

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
May 11 2026

This probably goes so hard if you run away to live in a forest

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
May 20 2026

Probably better if you take the time to fully listen to the lyrics and stuff. I listened to it while cooking dinner so couldn't do that and then found it just got kind of samey after a while

May 21 2026

Teenage me would have loved this. Current me likes and wants to give it 3.5/5 but you can't do halves here. To me, 3 is "It's good but I probably won't go out of my way to listen to it again", and 4 is "Yes I will listen to this album again", and this probably falls closer the the former - so 3 it is

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
May 22 2026

Nine Inch Nails on a chalkboard. Put Nine Inch Nails in my ears before making me listen to this again

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
May 26 2026

Not my type of music and I thought it got a bit repetitive, but I don't know there's some parts that sound cool

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.
May 27 2026

I can see the influence this had on post-punk, so I guess in that regard it's cool to listen to. But other than that each song is a loop of drums, bass and guitar with the singer screaming random stuff that he's been thinking about lately. It gets repetitive and tiring very quickly

Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
May 28 2026

Montage of Scooby-Doo and the gang searching through Count Dracula's mansion type beat

Queen II by Queen
Jun 01 2026

Wow these guys are a hidden gem I'm suprised more people haven't heard of them. They remind me of that one band that has that movie I forgot the name of, it was something like slovenian rap city.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jun 02 2026

i like guitars they sound cool :)

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Jun 03 2026

I honestly don't know what to rate this. I don't know if I've heard something like this before, so it was fun to listen to in that regard, and I might listen to it again some of the songs are catchy. But also it felt like it dragged on a little bit (particularly that last song). I keep swapping between a 3 and a 4

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jun 04 2026

One of my main complaints with a lot of movies is that they need to earn their length, and I'd say the same about albums

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Jun 05 2026

Shoegaze is Lo-fi for perfomative people

Play by Moby
Jun 09 2026

royalty free music

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen

Crazy how under the radar these guys are! Their music would make really good soundtracks for movies
