Popular Reviews

Thriller by Michael Jackson

What to say about this. What surprises me is that after a while the not so "famous" songs start to pop even more, like Baby Be Mine. Insanely listenable.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Jun 25 2026

Listened to it during my car ride from Rome to Acilia, to have lunch with my grandfather. I'm no hip-hop/rap connoisseur, so I can only judge the album by impulsive preference. I found it breezy and interesting, did not pay much attention to the lyrics, but the beats remind you of the best Dre without ever feeling dated. Songs I saved: King Kunta, How Much a Dollar Cost, The Blacker the Berry, i, Mortal Man. Also, big fan of the interludes, which used to be a staple in rap albums but now seem like a lost art.

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jun 26 2026

Big hit, mindblown. A friend of mine apparently had recommended this album to me a while back, but I completely ignored it and forgot about it. After having listened to it this time, I recommended it back to him, and he was like, seriously?

It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Jun 29 2026

Would have been 3 stars, but for Skeletons. Really moody and atmospheric, but beside the mentioned track nothing really stuck out to me.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Jul 01 2026

As a personal preference, I just don't like this kind of female voice. I don't know if it's the mix or some technical, but I find it very grating at loud volume. Having said it, after 3 or 4 songs I had accepted it and was able to enjoy it quite a bit. Great folk and country (?) sound.

Stankonia by OutKast
Jul 02 2026

Honestly too sprawling to get my head around. Again, I ain't really a hip-hop/rap listener. I enjoyed breezing through it, but nothing stuck.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Jul 03 2026

Entrancing hip-hop instrumentals. Great discovery, four stars only cause I don't think it's my thing, as a personal preference.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Jul 07 2026

Nice to have on rotation.

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Jul 09 2026

What to say about this. What surprises me is that after a while the not so "famous" songs start to pop even more, like Baby Be Mine. Insanely listenable.

The Predator by Ice Cube
Jul 10 2026

Nice flow, always liked Ice Cube. But again, rap albums don't really stick into my head.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jul 28 2026

Very middle of the road, but also very enjoyable. It's nice to listen to an album that seems made by four guys with instruments, and not whatever Coldplay has morphed into now. Anyhow, their knack for catchy melodies remains evident.

Pink Flag by Wire
Jul 29 2026

Nice. To me it sounds like standard punk fare, but it is fast, punchy and invigorating. So I enjoyed more than average even though I don't specifically remember songs.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jul 30 2026

Amazing. I don't know how much replay value this will have for me, but it was certainly a great discovery. Loved to walk to it.
