I don't think this is a bad album but I also don't think Alice in Chains is for me
The first half is… … …killer.
Feels like you could put this on at almost any time and it would sound good; need to revisit and listen closer
Some sweet instrumentation but melodically not for me
Liked this a lot more than I thought I would - will want to revisit!
Thought this might be a 4 star based off the singles alone but I’m not sure - will revisit!
Respect to Frank Zappa but he’s not for me
Never listened to much Lana but this was pretty good - only downside is that it’s impossible to hear anything without headphones
Really really good
I know this album is “good” but I couldn’t get into it
It’s clear that this album influenced an entire genre and I like it but it may take some re-listens before it gets to a 4
The most ironic album title
A good album that I probably won’t come back to because I’ve never been in a mood for the kinks
Another good album - someday I’ll get into the talking heads
Reminds me of diners with jukeboxes even though it’s from the 80s
Not a Neil Young fan but I can see why this made the list; I really liked the first (acoustic) half
Wish I could give this a 3.5, Frank is always good
“Slit-eyed lady” is INSANE but this album is pretty good
I can understand why people would love this but it’s not for me
No thanks
Now That’s What I Call White Music!
The Work It beat is still so fucking good
Similar to Hot Fuss - jam-packed 1st half, less memorable 2nd half
Might be lazy to say but this reminds me of some Beatles records (in a very good way)
Not for me (in the same way Daft Punk is not for me)
Music that’s good but too cool for me
lol turns out this album is pretty fucking good
Giving this 3 stars out of respect to Sir Paul but I’ll need to give this a closer listen
Definitely did not expect so much ska
I honestly can’t tell whether I like the ZZ Top “sound” but 2 stars seems too low for an album I didn’t necessarily dislike
Absolutely love the instrumentation but some of the talk singing really throws me off
No point of reference for me here but I liked it more than I thought I would!
3+ stars for the songs, 4 stars out of respect for its influence
2 stars not because it’s bad (shoutout breaking the law) but bc I don’t know if I’ll ever be in the mood to listen to this again
Would rate this lower than 1 if I could.
Zeppelin is a big gap in my knowledge - this album definitely listens like 1 cohesive album + 1 album of misc, but it’s still so good
Sooner or later, one of us must knoooooow
Agh I’m so tempted to give this 5 stars…maybe I’ll come back and update it
It had the vague shape of something I might like but no thanks
Pretty good, definitely better than the eponymous album
Don’t know much Bowie but 3 seems too high; maybe I’ll give it another listen
Turns out I don’t like experimental music that much
Yeah whatever kind of electronic music this is just isn’t for me
Very Irish, pretty good
Old, folksy country. I don’t mind it!
