1001 Albums Summary

i don’t really listen to jazz instrumental but this is pretty cool. even though it’s only two songs, it sorta feels like a bunch of mini songs. there’s very much a very balanced rise and fall (not in a negative way, moreso in a tonal sound) to the album that’s really interesting.

a little repetitive, but the highs stand out quite a bit. reminded me of ramones self titled kinda.

i might like this more than rumours honestly. i actually think lindsey buckingham’s vocals are superior to everyone else’s here. maybe a little discordant between the songs, but i liked it.

the beats and the flows are kinda good. i just feel so goofy listening to beastie boys

really high highs. really groovy and danceable. just a little repetitive.

can’t deny that the guitar work and the bluesy vocals are really incredible. but i feel the songwriting and the general flow of the albums lacks a lot of momentum. comes across a little boring.

i mean it’s rolling stones. not their best album for sure, but obviously great. maybe a few skips.

really close to a 5 honestly. i love the vocal delivery of all the songs. reminds me of the smell of cigarette smoke. feels really nostalgic and bittersweet the entire time. really good songwriting too. definitely gonna listen to more of the band.

idk some of it’s really cool and some of it’s total garbage. wayyyy too inconsistent for me to rate it highly. i kinda appreciate the boldness though.

all the songs are too long and just not sonically interesting. i appreciate the attempt to throw out very experimental ideas and try to make it work, but it doesn’t work at all for me. boring and annoying to listen to.

so overblown, and there’s so much going on in each section, but it always works. doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard or lacks an understanding of the music. really good
