1001 Albums Summary

Love song #1 and #2 so far. very folk

I like 1, 4, 5, 6, and 8 so far. I like the saxophones at times but it can’t get a lil too much for me but I understand that Stan was a saxophone player so it’s obvious that he is putting his putting his talent to use. I love the strings and drums a lot on this album though. I really enjoy the parts when they just let the music have a breather and just flow without too much chaos. Most likely a 3/5 but ima give it another listen and maybe it will change my mind but pretty good

Couple good songs on here especially toward the end but it’s not my cup of tea I would say. Definitely can see why people enjoy it but it’s not for me.

On a trip rn so I’ll make it brief, it was alright and I think besides the tracks 2 and 3 the album was okay for me. Not a lot to go into but js not my cup of tea ig

Some good songs on here i don’t think it’s his best work but it’s pretty good for being his ladder half of his career

Really like this album I’ve heard Al greens work before and I’m not surprised by this album. Really love the title song and the whole album is full of great stuff

Really went into this album with no expectations and yea it met or even surpassed them. I loved the end of this album especially. I honestly didn’t think I was going to like but I do.

The album was alright I think maybe if I gave it more listens then I could see myself liking it but so far not really for me
