I have listened to this album multiple times, thinking, “why do other ppl say this is the Beatles best?” This question is still not entirely answered to me after this re-listen, which is okay. Yet, when Lucy in the Sky starts to play, I remember what it meant to listen to the Beatles for the first time. A good feeling. Getting Better sounds great too. Fuck, she’s leaving home’s strings are so elegant. Whole song is perfectly arranged and a true heartbreaker. Swapping to the B-side and immediately listening to within you without you must’ve been an unreal reaction. I don’t think I’ve exactly perceived this song, nor what George Harrison is trying to say, still it’s beautiful. I wanna love the next three songs that follow, but all I have a cheap compliments, they just aren’t it for me. A Day in the Life was one of the first songs I learned on guitar. It’s a bit of an epic. I love John’s haunting verses and aahs in the background. Royal Albert hall. I like how you can hear the count in the crescendo. Great album! There are better Beatles 😋

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Jul 07 2026

I listened to this album maybe 2 months ago and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The lyrics may be stupid, but combined with the guitars and drums, makes all the songs fun. I like Mr. Brownstone a lot

I don’t think I’m a fan of the long British lyrics, kinda makes the fun instrumentals boring. Idk I’m just not really interested in it right now. Picked up in the second half.

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Jul 09 2026

These songs fuck, like all of them. I love when the bass cuts through, the tone is super punchy. Every song has this drive that’s perfectly composed with the verse to choruses style. Belinda Carlisle’s voice is perfect, especially for these songs. Feels like a mix of rock, surf, punk, pop- that shit is special.

Disintegration by The Cure
Jul 10 2026

Great album experience. This feels like an album, something made to be listened to in one sitting, rather than a compilation of songs. The droning, layered instrumentals and Robert Smith’s sympathetic voice make the whole album have a bigger-than-life sound. Something I really enjoy, that I think is underrated in Disintegration, is how Smith uses a lot of words in his verses, it can be hard to have so much to say in one song, but I felt it’s impact throughout the album. Likewise, having extended band breaks that never felt empty made the album experience more mesmerizing. The drums too, hit so strongly, every beat is commandingly noticeable without overshadowing the song. I love the pedals and effects used throughout the album, especially the flanger and chorus. I had “tried” listening to this album multiple times in the past but this listen made every song sound so special. Each track felt necessary, which is unbelievable for me to say about an 1hr 12m album. Great album

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Jul 12 2026

I like the first three songs but found his cover of Phoenix sounding like a grown-baby-man’s whining, he also does the same thing on One Woman but on that track it sounds somewhat sincere and fun. The groove was great throughout all songs.

Rid Of Me by PJ Harvey
Jul 12 2026

I might be too square for the first half of this album. I think the second half really picked it up for me, especially the singles.

The Atomic Mr Basie by Count Basie & His Orchestra
Jul 14 2026

Nothing stands out, but I think that’s okay for this type of music. I felt very comfortable and soothed listening to this.

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Jul 15 2026

second half of this album was just sad. I don’t know how to feel about morrissey

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jul 16 2026

The instrumentation on this album was really fun, it would’ve been nice if they got room to breathe in longer songs, like in Ramble Tamble and Grapevine. The Fogertys have sick voices. Still has energy. Only knowing their popular songs, I was surprised by most of this album, in a good way. Has some bangers

Honky Tonk Heroes by Waylon Jennings
Jul 17 2026

I like short albums and this one is very quick. Has some very nice honky tonk songs 😁 there’s some real good lyrics in Old Five and Dimers and We Had It All

The Yes Album by Yes
Jul 18 2026

I had hoped to like this album more than I did because I really liked Sweetness, but ended up not caring much for most songs. The vocals are well done, especially the harmonies. I like the Beatles cover and the last song

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jul 23 2026

Sometimes they would get in a deep pocket that I liked but then go into the goofiest splat of notes. Guess I don’t love prog tooooo much lol.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Aug 01 2026

It would be fun to perform this music live and control the crowd, that is to say it is boring but masks itself with driven guitar. Drums and bass are no-shows. All this to say, there are still fun songs and a decent cover, but that does not makes it a good album.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Aug 03 2026

Was thrown off by some of this album in a good way. has some good songs
