Reminds me of the strokes, and David Bowie combined. Nothing particularly stood out. It was a good listen and really just a good classic rock album. Of course, my music knowledge is relative— as I was born later I’ve experienced anything this project may have inspired I.e. the strokes and such. Nonetheless, some interesting tracks, and nice riffs.
Didn't get the chance to listen to the entire thing. Was a nice classic soul type of feel. Ray Charles is undoubtedly a top influential figure in music history. In fact, my friends cited a few songs they know to be classics when listening with me. Full of good vibes and fun.
I have heard 'Bad' throughout my life, and, naturally, Michael Jackson's ubiquity attests to his power, popularity, and overall talent as a performer and musician. Many of these tracks are one of a kind, Dirty Diana, Bad, Smooth Criminal (All simultaneously amongst some of MJ's most famous songs of all time). The album-- like many of his others-- is phenomenal.
This is a really solid album with a really confidently defined sound and aim, I feel. I can imagine it was rather avant-garde for its time-- its leaning away from contemporary arrangements, melodies, instruments, etc. I love the overall feelings and atmosphere it creates; it really does feel like you are on a safari on the moon! Overall, a really well-done project.

I really liked this album, it had a very nice rock folk vibe. Neil Young makes some very nice music. Ultimately, really nice sound, knows what it is. Nothing more nothing less.
Wasn't a bad album, just kind of one sound; however, a very unique sound at that. I could see this influencing later hip hop and rap artists. Not my cup of tea entirely, but a fun listen.

Pretty solid Joni Mitchell album. I’ve listened to her before. It’s a really lovely sound and feeling but I can’t say it was knock my socks off.
Jimi Hendrix is a weird experience for me. Sometimes I'll turn him on and not feel the vibe. Other times I will fall into his music, completely entranced and engaged with every note. I think this is a nice album and I will never discount his technical ability. I think I should understand Hendrix's position as the blueprint of modern rock and roll. Sometimes, it's hard to understand the hype of an album released so long ago, and after the world has had time to catch up and move onward. So, that all being said, I think ABAL establishes its sound well enough and centers itself around the great Jimi Hendrix. Like I explained at the beginning of my review, my opinion on JH could change at any given listen. Today, I will give him a higher rating.

I really like simon and garfunkel. I especially liked their work with bridge over troubled water and such. this was a record that occupied a sound confidently. it didnt falter or drift. it was very straight to the point and creative at that. I enjoyed the project whole heartedly.
This album was quite good. I am not one to love the grunge alt scene as much. this sound reminds me a lot of the likes of Faith No More, Nirvana, Deftones and such. It is a nice project with a unique sound that I could definetely see influencing later heavy metal and grunge spaces.
This one I think I’ll need to go back for a second listen to fully grasp. It was amusing. Very interesting sound— alt rock weird indie vibe. Good energy. Wouldn’t say it blew me away though.
I really enjoyed this album. I remember asking my friend if he knew the 30th president of the US, not knowing he asked his father. We traded turns guessing until we landed on Coolidge. His father then cited this song. Not knowing the artist I thought oh that’s a nice tune and moved on. I later found myself here and loving the irony. Nonetheless, I feel like this is a time capsule to southern America. The vibe, sound and diction are all reminiscent of that classic Louisiana feeling you hear about in movies and stuff. Overall, very good.
Radiohead remains one of my favorite artists of all time. As a band, they continue to push boundaries, which is admirable, but what I find more admirable is their success in integrating such unique sounds into mainstream music. Kid A is not my favorite album; still, it remains revolutionary for alt rock at the time and a renaissance for Radiohead's identity as a band. The music is unique and enthralling for sure. Sonic qualities linger between jarring electronica and somber soundscape. Its a great album.
I think this album is unique in a way that honestly isn't as coveted these days. I can't say that it completely intoxicates me to the point where I cannot pull away. Or that I lose track of time listening. The best I can label this album as is thought-provoking and fun. Overall, it was a good listen and I favored some tracks.
A great album that represents an even greater genre. Of course, the girl from impenema is a classic and upon seeing that’s this was the album I was to listen to I was indeed very excited. Overall, bossa nova is a gift from somewhere in heaven that I have the blessing and delight of enjoying in my little life.
