Aside from the title track "Walk all over you" is the only really memorable track. That one is my favourite on there. Singer is annoying at times and too many tracks sound similar, but it is overall pretty good. Better than i had expected.
Solid album with some good tunes. Manages to be different enough even though they're within the same themes. Still a bit samey though.
I can see people who aren't really that much into guitar playing thinking this is too much. But fuck them. They're wrong. Still unmatched. The songs are psychedelic, rocky, bluesy. Very varied. And it's still lightyears ahead.
Great rock record. Fresh sounds and good tunes all around. Although i would struggle to remember any other than the hit
Like the sound and songs quite a bit. Very solid and powerful throughout. The lyrics are a bit "on the nose" and it can't escape that corny 90's sound.
"Fucking MJ. That creep can sing, man"
"Yeah, but he's a pervert, Dude"
Why does it always brain me...
Very soft poprock. It is a pretty easy listen, but most of the songs aren't that memorable. The production is a bit hit and miss. Some of the songs aren't mixed that well. Others have some nice amd unexpected sounds going on. Perfectly average album.
Hard album to rate. Started out so good, but even if the point is to have a lot of genres and mixing them, it gets too unfocused and scattershot. Didn't need the rap song and the more techno themed stuff. At least not so much of it. Generally speaking, the A-side is great. The B-side not so much. Paul Weller is a good guitarist, though.
Just the perfect short song pop/rock album. So many solid tracks even if some them sound a bit samey. That was impossible to avoid at the time and it still sounds great. I do prefer the later less straightforward stuff they did, but no denying their talent.
Think it has some awesome riffs, sounds and production. They're very clever when using voices and industrial sounds. It is however put down by its silliness. That may be a weird thing to say when it is such an integral part of the album, but i often wonder about the marriage between heavy metal and goofy lyrics and concepts. To me it doesn't always blend well. Same with Panthera at times.
Such a great record. Really the perfect 80's sounds going on here. "Shout" is a strong opener. It balances the more heavy pop/rock songs with the more slow and lengthy pieces so well. The guitar is great on the later tracks.
So many great and varied songs and riffs. So effortless by these legends. They can be groovy, lovey, mystical and heavy all on the sane record. You can debate how well it blends m, but there's no denying when it comes to pure talent, they stand at the top.
Thought it was very solid throughout. Maybe her talking-singing isn't my cup of tea, but when she wants to sing she can. I hear Radiohead and Arvo Pärt in here, which is definitely not a bad thing. The lyrics are vulnerable and insightful. I think it is a very solid effort and i respect the craftsmanship, but i doubt i will ever become a big fan of Björk. Still, closer to 4 than 3, so 4 it is.
The highs are very high and lows are very low. Problem is barely a quarter of the songs are good. Then the rest are very mid to straight up bad in my opinion. At worst they sound like a boyband. Far cry from "Orange Crush" and "I Remember California" that are the standouts.
