Another brick in the wall part 2 is epic, tiny bit too long of a run time but I’m obsessed with pink Floyd’s song transitions they make me want to ascend
It’s good musically but i definitely would not have it on loop. The drum work is insane though. Also the same riff is overused like crazy.
Not really my sort of thing but it was cool to find out that Helter Skelter Mötley Crüe was a cover of the song on this album. Definitely bit too long for the album though especially when the sound is very similar for all the songs
The drums in this are really good and he saxophone parts were amazing, definitely not something I would go to to listen normally but it a very enjoyable!
I actually really enjoyed this album especially when you can hear the bass and the piano were playing together although I do were playing something a bit more interesting because it was very repetitive. Obviously Free Bird was the best track. Overall loved it.
I really enjoyed this album, it was really interesting to listen to because there were so many layers and Janelle Monáe’s voice is heavenly.
Not really for me honestly it was just very repetitive i would give it a 1.5 if it was an option….
This is very up my alley, I’ve listened to the majority of the songs separately but never at a full album and it did not disappoint!
I liked it… it just felt very repetitive like none of the tracks particuarly stood out to me, its definitely a feel good album and you can definitely hear that its approaching 80s as there are some very subtle hints of 80s pop.
I quite enjoyed it i can see the appeal but i also do prefer back to black
This album was fun i really enjoyed it. It reminds me of the song We gotta get out of here by the animals (at least i think thats what it’s called) which makes sense as they were from the same era of music . I definitely would listen to it again, and lyrically I really enjoyed the final track people take pictures of each other’s lyrics. I’ve b==never really listened to the Kinks properly before but i will be listening to more in the future, I would give this album a 3.5
It’s very distincty 80s. I dont mind it but its a bit dull honestly i think lyrically some of the songs are quite interesting and i appreciate the keyboard solo in heartland it was very cool. Not sure if it’s reallly for me. Also i dont quite like the snare sound, theres almost something rattle about it or it has a lot of reverb but it is very 80s.
Not my sorta thing but it was very fun, got recommended this on the day she dies, not sure whether that was intentional. I think the album is really good and there are a lot of songs I recognised but I dont know if I could listen to it on loop, I think I would put this as a 2.5 if it was an option
It was a fun album! I don’t listen to much purely classical music but this was nice especially because I was doing work whilst listening and it made me LOCK IN. Also there were loads of layers to the music which made it really interesting. The violins were also very random but really worked
I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I’m a huge Metallica fan so this is definitely not my first listen but it has very recently overtaken ride the loghting in my Metallica rankings and is now at the top of my list of their albums. SO GOOD LYRICALLY AS WELL
Ehhhhh… I don’t know. It’s really interesting musically and quite experimental but ive not really listened to any of Tom Waits other stuff so im not sure if this si standard for him. Honestly its not bad, it did age me a while of on nd off listening though as I did get a bit bored of it. Hear me out… it wuld work really well as a soundtrack for a villain. I do love the eeriness of the tracks i dont think it deserves a 1 maybe a 1.5 similar to khaled maybe higher if im honest like a 1.75….
