Not bad but not really that good either to be completely honest. Felt like I was listening to good music but with an ashwaganda filter on it so that it’s impossible to actually get emotionally involved in any of the songs
I have thoughts. Felt like I was listening to a weird funky version of elton john in a universe where he never existed and big dave copied his vibe. I liked the sax in Fill Your Heart and Life On Mars was my favorite. Otherwise it felt like I could’ve spent my time maybe listening to something else :/
What a sexy little album. Lots of good jazzy and squoinkly almost discoesque beats with a couple good power ballads (see You and I and Blame It on the Sun). Ashamed to admit I didn’t realize Superstition was a stevie boy wonder originale. Nice closing tune too, it’s giving “closing hymn of mass” with a hopeful sendoff. Big fan of this album actually. Can’t see but damn can this gent sing
