Not horrific but pretty underwhelming for “albums you need to listen to” I’ll try to do better reviews in the future by listening to albums at least 2 times but no songs on here really stood out to me
I liked this a lot more than the Beatles, and there were a handful of strong choices, still though, does this qualify as one of the best albums ever?
We’re going to have a large sample size, and so I’m going to put this in the middle
My favorite one so far, lots of classics occasionally I was very confused as to what Stevie was doing, but still very good
On one hand while I was expecting heavy metal here, the density of the metal was actually quite nice, on the other; just because you can do a 20 minute instrumental bit doesn’t mean you should. I feel like a lot of genuine musical talent here is being overshadowed by the excessive length of the songs
I think the word decent defines everything about this album, a lot of it was groovy but nothing really stood out. On par with The Rolling Stones album for unmemorability
Same thing I thought about Black Sabbath but even more extreme. They overdid it. Smoke on the water and highway star are great classic songs, and they start playing them and you think “Hell yeah” and then the 10 minute long instrumental ensued. Only union drive can get away with stuff like that and that’s because they have legendary bassist Owen young
Very mid imo, I didn’t love anything, but nothing was bad either I wouldn’t go back and listen to it, but I wouldn’t discourage someone else. I’ve never heard of this album and am not familiar with its impact, this is a low 3 for me
Almost impressively forgettable 2 stars because there is nothing about this album I think I need to listen to before I die
I actually really liked this one. Not generally my style and did have somewhat excessive lyricism at times, but as a musical piece it was quite fun to listen to
A low 4 for me,
This album was very pleasant to listen to and I had a number of songs I enjoyed. It didn’t stand out to me in any major way but still overall enjoyable
A high 3 for me, similar to my thoughts on sergeant pepper’s however this album did not have a little help from my friends
A high 4. It was a great album but I set my expectations just a bit too high. I think to get a full 5 I will need to be caught off guard by the depth of an slbum
Great album and very groovy, I just can’t rate it higher than dire straits, the 5 will come, but not today
Very okay album, not my style but nothing wrong with it either
Boring, don’t want to listen again
There is nothing about this album that I feel I needed to listen to at all. It’s not bad music but it feels to me like background music, with nothing that stands out
Just not that inspiring, part of me doesn’t understand the significance, part of me thinks of this more as background music, none of me was moved. Not that it’s bad, just that it feels out of olace
This was a very beautiful album, the title song was very moving, and it was musically brilliant throughout, she does not get an extra star for being dead though. 4
Didn’t listen as much as a should have but I was unmoved
I liked it
Best album so far. Not perfect but I’m going to give it 5 anyway, I didn’t even think BBL was bad I liked that one, in my opinion frank lloyd wright was the worst song on here. The best song in my opinion was el condor pasa, the combination of Andean instrumentals and Paul Simon’s music was absolutely brilliant
Excellent album, extremely close to a 5. To be honest this probably is a 5 if bridge over troubled water didn’t come right before it.
Decent but forgettable a strong start was muddied by a lot of fluff. Wasn’t really over the moon about any of it
Mid
Very fun album, combining the 80s and early 2000s vibe for some groovy rock
This may have been overhyped too much for me but I was just not blown away ok computer. Nothing stood in any particular way. Doesn’t matter what the message is, if the music is only ok it’s not getting more than a 3
