Popular Reviews

The instrumentals are interesting and there were parts that were actually pretty good to listen too. However, this isn’t really my cup of tea and so I rated it somewhat very in the middle.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Aug 01 2026

It was pretty chill and songs seemed to blend in together seamlessly. Nice vocals, but in my opinion this style isn’t really for me. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would’ve liked.

All Mod Cons by The Jam
Aug 02 2026

it’s pretty nice, a couple of songs really stand out to me. However, it’s still not the kind of music I would seek out.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Aug 04 2026

iconic and full of straight bangers! This was definitely more my jam. However, some songs are bland in my opinion and are kind of same-sy.

Debut by Björk
Aug 05 2026

did not go into it with high expectations since I was unsure whether or not I would like Björk’s sound. unfortunately, I was not a huge fan of this album. There were good bits, but overall it was just noise for me.

Raw Power by The Stooges
Aug 06 2026

I understand why some might like this, but I just don’t. All the songs sound the same to me.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Aug 10 2026

it was nice elevator music, not much to complain about.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Aug 11 2026

Not really my kind of music, maybe I have bad taste. It all felt very familiar at first, but kind of got annoying. Won’t be listening again. Sorry but that’s just my honest opinion.

Dub Housing by Pere Ubu
Aug 12 2026

by the third song I was already annoyed. I’m on a music discovery adventure, but respectfully this is not my taste. Straight noise to me. I’m sure it has some deep meaning, but the vocals are grating my ears.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Aug 13 2026

it’s quite lovely really, obviously has iconic songs. I don’t have complains about it. I just really like the sound of her voice.

Woodface by Crowded House
Aug 14 2026

I actually enjoyed listening to this album. The vocals were relaxing and interesting. And for some reason it felt very nostalgic and pleasant to listen to. Now I wouldn’t add these to my main playlist, but I would seek some songs out to listen to on an odd day.

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Aug 15 2026

Not my favorite, but the vocals went crazy. Sound absolutely banged, but it wasn’t the kind of music I would usually seek out. Still pretty cool and pretty classy I will say

Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Aug 16 2026

I’m surprised by how much I liked this album. I liked the vocals and some songs were quite memorable to me. There were some skips in my opinion, but also a good variety of songs I would listen to again.

Very by Pet Shop Boys
Aug 17 2026

Not at all what I was expecting after hitting play. I’m lowkey confused, there is a lot going on. I don’t really like this, some parts are groovy, but otherwise it’s very loud and noisy.

Aug 18 2026

I’ve listened to other projects by The Smiths and in my honest opinion, this is probably their weaker one. I like the vocals of course, and there are some good songs, but overall I find that it got some skips and is a bit weak.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Aug 20 2026

Full of skips, but that’s because I don’t really like singing around the fire while camping ahh songs. As I was listening I kept thinking about when it would end. It doesn’t sound horrible, just I find it boring.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Aug 21 2026

It’s pretty good actually. Some solid and groovy songs. However, nothing really memorable to me.

Aug 22 2026

In my honest opinion, I thought the instrumentals were nice and nice vocals, but to me this really was kind of background music nothing really stood out to me in a significant way. It wasn’t a bad experience in any way and it has its good moments, but nothing life changing.

Aug 23 2026

The instrumentals are interesting and there were parts that were actually pretty good to listen too. However, this isn’t really my cup of tea and so I rated it somewhat very in the middle.

Greetings From L.A. by Tim Buckley
Aug 24 2026

It was quite an experience to listen to on a very hot morning. Some parts were bad and some were okay. I honestly think this might be my least favorite of all his other work as it wasn’t very interesting to me and sometimes his voice annoyed me.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Aug 25 2026

Another day of the 1,001 album challenge. This was a pretty good listening experience. The guitar and the female vocals absolutely banged. I will say this really isn’t what I jam to, which I’m realizing is true for a lot of music in this journey I embarked on. However, I can appreciate what this album had to offer even if it had some skips in my opinion.

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Aug 26 2026

No thoughts. Head mostly empty. There were plenty of skips, but it wasn’t all bad. There were some good instrumentals, some songs that stuck out, and some that had potential. However, I always felt like there was something missing.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

Another day of the 1,001 album challenge and one day after the news came out that the legend herself Dolly Parton had passed. It would be incredibly dishonest to not rate it anything other lower than a 5. Their voices are so beautiful and that’s just that.

Atomizer by Big Black
Aug 28 2026

Im surprised by how much this actually intrigued me in a way. It was very raw and aggressive at times. There were some songs I actually liked because of how noisy it was without being too much. Overall, its not something I would usually go for, but this was definitely something.

Queens of the Stone Age by Queens Of The Stone Age
Aug 29 2026

Had some bangers, but overall not particularly memorable for me. I liked the guitar that was very much present throughout the album and some of my highlights were “Spiders and Vinegaroons” and “You Would Know” as the only songs that really caught my attention. So, in my humble opinion not bad, just neutral.

Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper
Aug 30 2026

A bit odd. I will say some of the instrumentals was groovy to me and some of the vocal style was genuinely interesting to me. However, overall it wasn’t an album that particularly stood out to me as very good.

Gentlemen by The Afghan Whigs
Sep 03 2026

To be completely honest, I’m not sure how to feel about this album. On one hand it does have some good riffs and other interesting elements, but on the other hand the vocals were a mixed bag and some songs just felt…there.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Sep 05 2026

Another day on the 1,001 albums challenge. I can’t rate it too lowly because it contains some really sick guitar solos that even if this isn’t really my favorite genre I have to admit it’s very good. Overall, not a bad album and kept me locked in throughout my listening experience.
