Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 05 2026

Not something I normally listen too! It was very story forward which is cool. I thought it was interestingly similar to hymns in the lyricism. I kept thinking that it sounded like a hymn. Also, "she never met a man (she didn't like)" is just Jolene but talking to the POS man instead.

Electric Warrior by T. Rex
Aug 06 2026

This album was a little samey and repetitive but had definite highlights! I did not expect to know any of the songs on here because I did not recognize the band but I had heard bang a gong before. Fav: "bang a gong (get it on) and "lean woman blues"

Songs Of Leonard Cohen by Leonard Cohen
Aug 07 2026

I did not expect to like this as much as I did. I've never listened to Leonard Cohen before. I feel like I need to listen to it 100 more times to get everything out of it!

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Aug 10 2026

Ethereal, lots of interesting sounds. I liked it more than I was anticipating. Fav: "Once in a lifetime"

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Aug 11 2026

This album felt like one song or piece of art. I really liked the use of tempo changes to give you that sense of going on a journey. Its almost like this rock song was a ballad.... guys I think I'm on to something ;) Also shouldn't we all panic about this satanic music?

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Aug 12 2026

I felt like I was going insane listening to this album. I'm not the target audience even a little bit. The beat was so repetitive it made me nauseous. I really wanted to like this one but just no.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Aug 13 2026

Overall, it was a good album. The songs were weird. It was jazzy, which was pretty cool.

Killing Joke by Killing Joke
Aug 14 2026

I thought I was gonna really like this one but it let me down a little after the first song. I like the weird sounds and the more metal genre vibe but it fell a little short, I think it was a little too overindulgent.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Aug 17 2026

Fuck yeah, finally some disco! I really like this album.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Aug 18 2026

I liked this one. Never heard of the artist before but he has a good vibe. I'm also a sucker for a melancholy feeling, this was a great album for that! Really strong 3

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Aug 19 2026

I've never listened to this whole album before. The first two are bangers of course but the rest were pretty good as well. More motown than I was expecting!

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 20 2026

This album felt pretty self indulgent. Some of the songs dragged in for way too long. I can understand why people would like it and I actually did really like cowgirl in the sand even though it was too long. Obviously neil young is very talented but I would have rated this higher if he knew when to stop.

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Aug 21 2026

I liked this album better than the last talking heads album. Frenetic, ethereal, and a little more approachable. Head, Heaven, Air and Life during wartime were all bangers for me!

Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin
Aug 24 2026

I liked this one better than the last. More mature and less divorced dad vibes which is good.

Doolittle by Pixies
Aug 25 2026

Honestly, maybe I don't appreciate music well but this just sounded like noise to me. It was pretty annoying and I did not finish listening to it

John Prine by John Prine
Aug 26 2026

I laughed, I sobbed. The first 6 song destroyed me fully. These lyrics go so hard. Your flag decal won't get you into heaven is a top tier song. I added multiple songs to my rotation. I've never heard anyone else admit it but they don't make country music like they used to. I think that's an original thought.

Trio by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

Dolly Parton is an inspiration to all and has the voice of an angel. Wildflowers and Hobo meditation were stand out to me in this album.

Kid A by Radiohead
Sep 01 2026

This was listenable. Which is more than I can say for their last album. There was one song I might listen to again. Maybe this is a hot take but Radiohead has no business being as popular as it is considering how unapproachable their music is. I felt like everytime I liked something about a song they would ruin it with a weird or off tune sound.

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Sep 02 2026

I really enjoyed this album. Ye is clearly amazingly talented in his lyricism and the critic of systems was poignant. I was surprised with the amount of Christian themes.
