This was my first time listening to the full album. I've heard Killer Queen before, but nothing else. As many others, I knew about Queen and I love their hits (who doesn't?), but... I didn't quite enjoy this album. I'm not saying it's a bad album, it just didn't strongly resonate with me on a first listen. I liked some tracks like Bring Back That Leroy Brown and In the Lap of the Gods...Revisited. Overall, I feel the album has the Queen sound that I love from their hits. It's possible that by listening it more times it'll grow into me and I'll learn to fully appreciate it.

Might not be my thing, but you can't deny it's a good album. I remember when it launched you would listen to songs like - Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to The Rain, Rumor Has It, Someone Like You - over and over again in the radio.

It's Too Late to Stop Now by Van Morrison
Sep 06 2026

First time listening to this album, I liked it! Again, I don't know if it's exactly my cup of tea, but it's definitely worth a listen. It's one of the reasons I "joined" this site: to find new things worth listening to.

Illmatic by Nas

Being a non-native english speaker, it's hard for me to appreciate rap albums. If you're into the genre this probably is a really good album. For me, it's okay.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Sep 09 2026

Seems like a good sounding and well crafted album. Before listening to this, I only knew a few songs from Steely Dan, such as Reeling In the Years, Only a Fool Would Say That, and Dirty Work. I don't know why, but I expected more from this album. Maybe it's not my style.
