Consistent vibe throughout, raw and hard hitting with kinda haunting samples. Everything feels carefully thought out which I guess is kinda what the whole chess thing is about. Not the kinda thing I could just listen to at any time tho. Wu tang roots show heavily with the features however is distinct from 36 chambers and is definitely more experimental and a darker tone. Method man ODB and ghostface all have such distinct voices which all add a lot. The last track B.I.B.L.E seems a bit out of place with the rest of the album

The whole album sounds like it would go very hard performed live in a bar. Would make a good movie soundtrack.
Bonus points for the guy that starts making harmonica noises. Not sure how much I love the vocals on some of the tracks. Riders on the storm closes out the album very well. Very atmospheric sounds. Overall not a bad album, just don’t think I’d listen very often. Honourable mention for L’America, very good instrumentals.

Straight off the bat I didn’t love it and that vibe kinda kept throughout. The title track made me want to crash my car just to shut it up. I realise this is probably really profound if I dig Deep into to the lyrics but I just find it boring and in some cases really annoying. The highlighted songs actually aren’t terrible, just overall I don’t love it . Is worth noting on a second listen I enjoyed it more. It’s very bluesy so maybe in a different mood I’d be on it

Massively not a fan of this one. I realise I'm not the target audience but her voice just went through me. I guess you’ve got to consider the context in which they would be played and I could maybe see how some of these songs would make sense in a dance scene. For me tho it’s a load of cack and was an unpleasant 48 minutes.

I actually really like this. It’s bouncy and high energy, consistently fun to listen. Some are the tracks are just silly, such as gimme the car which is about a dude who wants his dads car so he can go shag lol, which is great Some of these songs sound familiar so I think maybe I’ve heard them out and about . Really interesting instrumentals that compliment the dudes voice and strange lyrics.Guitar goes so very hard Bottom line is i like it a lot.

I have nothing necessarily bad to say about this album, it’s fine. I think the beats are groovy and definitely feel they fit the stoner vibe. Just didn’t really blow me away, feels very passive very background type of thing.

As if this could be anything less than a 5. I love this album. Each song is masterfully crafted with samples flipped so perfectly to fit the vibe of the album, showing homage to Tribes love of Jazz. This album is when tribe got serious. Though their debut is fantastic and would also be a 5, Phife featured little. On the Low end, Phife and Tip share the mic equally here with their very distinct voices complimenting each other perfectly, Tip being more mellow and Phife being more punchy, with clever and funlyrics that tribe are known for. Also just because I love this album so much I just wanna say how important it must’ve been when it came out, not only because of Tip’s wizardry with flipping samples but also because of how prominent hip hop was at the 90’s but primarily gangsta rap, tribe offer a friendlier less violent alternative. This album shows that hip hop isn’t just drugs and violence.

It’s worth noting I did not have time to completely listen to this album top to bottom, however from what I did listen I quite liked. I did a bit of a U-turn somehow, where at first I thought it was boring but then at the end of the day I changed my mind and I like it, funny how that works isn’t it? Something as little as the time of day can change your enjoyment completely. Just a solid rock album throughout, with some solid instrumental performances. Second half of the album absolutely outshines the first and it’s not even close which is annoying because it makes the album very hard to rate. The highlighted songs do a lot to bump it up tho, they go hard

Never realised it but I had some innate prejudice against Coldplay but I did actually like this album. It’s a consistent mellow and melancholy vibe throughout, which in the right (or wrong) headspace could probably make this album hit hard. It’s smooth and easy listening, nice vocals over chilled instrumentals. Pleasantly surprised

This is a very middle of the road kinda album, some of it I thought was meh the rest I enjoyed. I will say that throughout the guitar was a consistent highlight and quite enjoyable, the fellas lyrics were very hit and miss and on the earlier tracks left a lot to be desired.

This was a perfectly listenable album. Some song i quite enjoyed, nice messages and pretty typical country instrumentals. An enjoyable enough listen, just nothing crazy and I’m not racing to put it back on
The guitar and bass are the highlights throughout this album. Some real fun lil guitar riffs and some funky ass bass throughout. Something is just holding it from being a 4, I think the vocals? Idk there’s just something. Anyway this is pretty good, I like it.
Some good rock instrumentals throughout however, moody dramatic woman singing in an annoying voice is not my genre. Still not as bad as bjork tho
This is a more low key and chilled kinda rock album. After reading about the dudes drug addiction I can see the vibe hes trying to create reflects the head space he was in at the time. It’s enjoyable to listen to but it’s nothing mind blowing. A very spacey vibe

It’s a nice kinda gloomy space kinda deal, very chill with a definite sadness throughout.Unfortunately for this album, Sofia went back to Uni today and so a gloomy space vibe threatens to give way to bad vibes, which I’m not tryna deal with so I probably didn’t give this album the time it needed.
Not a bad album at all, impressive instrumentals and pretty chill vocals. I struggled to rank this one, ultimately it was better than most of my 3’s so it must be a 4. Worth noting that I had a headache when listening so enjoyment was tainted slightly. Even still, a solid album. Shoot you down is actually a really good song that I’d say far outshines the rest of the songs of the album.
Even though this album is by Hitler 2.0, I actually do quite like it. Good production throughout with some solid flows from both Hitler and the features. Monster is packed with features and they all do pretty well. I will say some lines are a bit cringe. Anyway yeah, I enjoyed this so I gotta judge it fairly.
This one’s not really for me. It’s described as dream pop which I think is pretty accurate. My major gripe with the whole album is that I have no idea what they are saying or if it is English. If you told me this album was sung in simmlish, I’d believe you. Though the instrumentals are nice and dreamy, I just don’t think this is my kinda thing.
This album took me by surprise. So it’s by a transgender woman but the voice is the most beautiful dude voice, mixed with some really striking kinda jazzy instrumentals and it all works. It’s weird tho because I couldn’t listen to this all the time, but I can’t give it anything less than a 4. It’s very good, once again the guy(?) has such a beautiful haunting voice.

This was fantastic. Sam Cooke’s vocals and jazzy instrumentals are good by themself, but add the fact this was recorded for a live audience and it’s a winner. It’s got such a classic but timeless sound to it, easy 5
We like jazz, we like Afrocentric beats. I had high hopes from the start and the what followed was 50 odd minutes of pure jazz and it was great. Instrumental only albums are touch and go, but this one is fantastic.
