Incredible musicianship. Lost me after cult of personality until the middle of side b. At times it felt intangible but I love the funky moments blended with the metal core influences and the at times math rocky riffs. Like, it’s good. Not something I’d return to besides maybe a fave song here and there and I’m not dying to listen to the rest of the discography, but it’s cool.
Super cohesive and inventive. Abrasive and offensive. Consistently engaging despite not really being my thing generally. Eerie, sexy, captivating. Reminds me of portishead and deftones at times. I like the industrial vibes, and imagining the production of this is prettyyyyy crazy. I respect this record and its adventurous, experimental edge. Even when I don’t want it in my ears.
