1001 Albums Summary

I always felt like Is This It is a product of its time, and that it aged rapidly. It set the foundation for a lot of bands that followed, but going back to it now shows just how boring Julian's voice is, and how repetitive/simplistic the instrumentation is. It doesn't work for me over an entire album's length. Barely Legal is gross.

It sure is atmospheric. I appreciate what it is, but I can't say I'll return.

It rules. I understand why BB King is THE blues guy. The audience in this live album is absolutely eating everything up. He also advocates to not hit women, so that's good too.

Van Halen, another "hasn't aged super well" and "makes me feel like a loser for enjoying it so much" band.
