1001 Albums Summary

It was okay, enjoyed the first couple songs but the. It got a bit samey, No real standouts

Long listen

Listened before : No Listen again : No I wasn’t a huge fan of this, it felt a bit like it was going through the motions. I’m don’t love psycho killer which didn’t help. The song about the American civil service was a low point.

Listened before : Yes Listen again : Yes Fantastic album, highlights for me are cloud bursting and jig of life. The only low point in the album is mother stands for comfort which I find a bit monotonous

Listened before : No Listen again : No   I came into this album as a fan of elton johns biggest hits, but I haven't really listened to much of his music beyond that. I feel tiny dancer sets the tone of the album pretty well, the whole thing feels like it would make a good gang show item. Sitar background of Holiday Inn worked for me and gave the track quite a joyful, nae whimsical feeling. Piano throughout is mint, but you would expect that.   Standouts: Tiny dancer (ofc), Holiday Inn, All The Nasties
