I have heard of her but this is first time hearing her music. It’s a different sound. It’s nice but not sure I’d listen to it again

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jan 13 2021

Great album. Will definitely keep on playlist. Besides the obvious classics some beautiful melodies - especially like Bewlay Brothers. Then there’s Fill your Heart which is wacky. Feel the album would make a great musical. Jen

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Jan 14 2021

Not my cup of tea. At times I thought Jack Black might join in or Austin Powers. The lyrics were cringe at times. It was a bit too groovy - classic songs strange brew and Sunshine .. excepted. Sorry Eric and crew

Heroes by David Bowie
Jan 15 2021

Oops didn’t really listen to this one. Three stars coz it’s David Bowie

Aja by Steely Dan
Jan 20 2021

It took me back to the 70’s, that cruise, that piano bar, a pina colada! I kinda liked it.

Tical by Method Man

Nope

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Jan 25 2021

Unexpected. Didn’t mind the quirkiness for one song but a whole album I could not bear. The tone of the sitar (?) was like a mozzie in my ear - especially this early in my morning

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 26 2021

Thought I’d like this more than I did.Wasn’t keen on the guitar sound (eg. on Bootleg) has that 60’s twang. Ok on second listen I liked the album a bit more eg - Born on the Bayou

Jan 27 2021

Brought back good memories. Loaded with hits and big melodies dripping with pathos and sadness

Germfree Adolescents by X-Ray Spex
Jan 28 2021

Oops just listened to a few songs. Sounds tight but wasn’t keen on vocals but in fairness need to listen more. Also a bit grating and full on on the morning

The Grand Tour by George Jones
Jan 29 2021

Well, muggy cool dark weather this morning suited listening to the velvety rich slower songs best. Kinda made me want to morning drink scotch. Faster songs like the Weatherman I didn’t like. Yikes some of the lyrics - she’s def cheating on you wake up!

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Feb 01 2021

Obviously you can hear the Beatles influence- but that’s ok.

Solid Air by John Martyn
Feb 02 2021

Rich sound- both guitar and voice. I liked the 5 songs I listened to. Would listen again. Didn’t feel dated.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Feb 03 2021

Oh it’s Bob Dylan. His nasally vocals irritated me at 6.30am but that’s ok. You know it’s a classic album - it really is

Another Green World by Brian Eno
Feb 04 2021

Liked this a lot. Golden Hour, Another agreen World, Sky Saw. This album didn’t sound or feel dated. Maybe not keen on the shoe tying lyric but that’s ok. 4.5 stars.

Feb 16 2021

I don’t think I’ve heard this album before. The radio plays Queen way to much but was good to hear some different Queen songs

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Feb 19 2021

First time I’ve actually listened to Miles Davis even though I’ve heard his name referenced for so long on the Simpson’s!

Feb 23 2021

U2 as a band still annoy me. I wish I could hear this as if for the first time.

LP1 by FKA twigs
Feb 24 2021

I have heard of her but this is first time hearing her music. It’s a different sound. It’s nice but not sure I’d listen to it again
