1001 Albums Summary

I love the concept. In some parts repetitive but still a damn good funk album.

And good start for a good journey.

Warm and comfy, perfect balance of background singers and main vocals. Really enjoyed listening to it.

What a surprise! Of course I only knew the hitsingle "Come on Eileen" before listening to the album. I really enjoyed the whole thing. Great musical variety and entertaining artistic elements.

Lots of respect for this extraordinary sounds and recordings. They opened up a door for a whole new musical genre. It was fun to listen to but rather felt like a musical history class than something I would listen to in my everyday life.

Fun and sad at the same time. You can hear the influence they had on a lot of other artists. Definitely gonna listen to it again.

When I first saw it, I was really looking forward to listen to it. I expected and emotional album with deep messages. Unfortunately it did not catch me as I expected. Some tracks were good but all in all its too long in my opinion.

It’s always fine to get a warm caress from Frank Sinatra’s voice.

I would lie if I'd say that this music does not touch me.

I have never heard of John Grant before. His vocal harmonies, lyrics, rhythm and the calming effect of his music did catch me immediately.

Boring. Does not touch me.

The music of Fleet Foxes has a very calming effect on me. It gives me the feeling that everything is going to be alright someday. The rhythm, the harmonies and instrumentation makes this album a go to indie-folk album for me.

I don't know why but this music spoke to me :D

Well, hit after hit after hit. Strong dad-rock vibe!
