The Allman Brothers BandStandout - Whipping Post Live album, as the title suggests. Lots of nice blues guitar work. Long instrumental stretches My first time listening to a full Allman Brothers album (that I can recall)
Standout - Whipping Post Live album, as the title suggests. Lots of nice blues guitar work. Long instrumental stretches My first time listening to a full Allman Brothers album (that I can recall)
Standouts - Love Is Here To Stay; But Not For Me Very mellow jazz Great singing
Standouts - Venus; Marquee Moon; Elevation Nice classic rock sounds Good guitar solos
Standouts - Heroes; Black Out; The Secret Life of Arabia My first time listening to this full album The second half was surprisingly instrumental and ambient I enjoyed it but probably not my favorite Bowie album as a whole (at least after the first listen)
Standouts - Deja Vu; 4 + 20 Pretty standard classic rock sounds Some interesting lead guitar here and there
Standouts - Pablo Picasso; Modern World; Dignified and Old Interesting sounding band Lyricism is at the forefront, sometimes kind of funny lyrics This album would probably take a few listens for me to get into it
Standouts - Hangin' Round; Goodnight Ladies Some nice instrumental sections including strings and tuba Lyrics are kinda funny sometimes, but I don't know if that was intentional or not
Standout - Alice in Wonderland - Take 2 It was nice-sounding jazz, but it didn't capture my attention (or I didn't give it my full attention)
Standout - Hotel California Very good album, wasn't listening that intently so might have to come back to it
Standouts - Eggs and Sausage; Spare Parts I (A Nocturnal Emission); Spare Parts II and Closing A very unique sound I liked the jazz-infused instrumentals, and the vocals were engaging with the raspy singing and storytelling The stories in the song intros were fun I've heard of Tom Waits before (I'm pretty sure) but wasn't really familiar with him
Standouts - None (I was listening pretty passively, used it as background music)
Standout - Dream Attack I liked this album a lot, and I knew that I like New Order before this I was driving for most of it so I don't know the song names that well, which is why I only have one standout Cool bass sounds, synths, vocals and drums
Standouts - When Doves Cry; Purple Rain
Standouts - The Christian Life, You Don't Miss Your Water I liked this album a lot, the folky/country sound was really nice and the vocals were pretty classic
Standouts - Is This It; The Modern Age; Last Nite I know I've heard some of this album before, not sure if I've heard all of it. I enjoy the Strokes sound a lot and the songs on this album have good energy
