Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Jul 25 2022

My mates dads favourite album of all time and I get why he likes it so much. I’ve only ever really listened to Steely Dans greatest hits before this so this was a better insight into them in an album format. Not a bad song throughout, quite country and bluesy at the same time

Third by Portishead
Jul 26 2022

Not to my taste, not like anything I’ve heard before. Very experimental, can see why it appeals to some, like those with absolutely no taste in music 😁

Pornography by The Cure
Jul 27 2022

Very dark and atmospheric, nothing like what you would expect from the more mainstream, pop like songs that the cure later released. That being said this is still probably my favourite Cure album and definitely deserves its place

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Jul 28 2022

Not something I would normally search for or listen to but it was quite enjoyable. Can’t deny he had a great voice although most of the tracks seem to just roll into one and because of this there is not too much range and just seems to showcase him as a one trick pony. An easy listen though

Jul 29 2022

Not one of my favourite artists and this album do nothing to change that opinion. An okay album but just feel there are other rappers out there who have more to offer in terms of song depth and subject matter

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jul 30 2022

Great listen, very surprised as not something I was looking forward to listening to when it appeared. Funky beats and didn’t realise the Chic influence and link

Eagles by Eagles
Jul 31 2022

Good ole country rock, nothing short of what was expected. Nice easy listening

Roger the Engineer by The Yardbirds
Aug 01 2022

Enjoyed this album very much, nice and bluesy with some elements of psychedelia

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Aug 02 2022

Hailed as a classic although in my opinion Biggie was always an average rapper at the time before his early demise. Not saying it’s a bad album, just feel that a lot of other rappers around the time had a lot more to offer and get a feeling that his popularity arose more from his early death rather than being judged on his talent

Parklife by Blur
Aug 03 2022

Iconic album, forgot just how good this album is, filled with melodic pop throughout

Protection by Massive Attack
Aug 05 2022

Not a big fan of this style of music, listened to more as just background noise rather than something that grabbed me

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Aug 06 2022

Really good listen, a lot livelier and upbeat up to other NY releases I’ve listened to previously

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Aug 09 2022

Brilliant debut with a great harmonious tone with the band and vocals totally in sync like they had been recording for years

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
Aug 10 2022

Easy to listen to on a nice summers day, with good beats and vibes. Personally the album as a whole doesn’t grab me but absolutely love the standout track Sun is shining, which bumps the album up to 3 stars

Faith by George Michael
Aug 12 2022
Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Aug 16 2022

Great return to form with the pivotal return and influence of John Frusciante being no coincidence in making this their greatest album to date. Full of recognisable tracks that combine to make one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Aug 17 2022

A nice listen. Not the liveliest of albums and some of the tracks sound just like the rest, with the standout tracks being at the very beginning and end of the album. A new artist to me, recognised one of the songs from the movie Eagle vs Shark, and will give him a try again

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Aug 21 2022

Felt like I was sat in a dentist waiting room to have my teeth pulled

2112 by Rush
Aug 22 2022

First time listening to this album and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it after listening to other Rush albums previously. Different in its sound to others, with a more prog approach and easy to see why it’s included in this list

Aug 23 2022

Full of raw emotion, and also knowing this was the last album recorded by the man in black, male this his greatest work in my opinion. An iconic voice not only covering other artists songs, but reinventing them and making them his own

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Aug 24 2022

Great return to form with the pivotal return and influence of John Frusciante being no coincidence in making this their greatest album to date. Full of recognisable tracks that combine to make one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion
