Massive fan of Radiohead. I got this album as a bday present from a friend when it first came out. I haven't listen to it nearly as much as The Bends, OK Computer, King of Limbs, In Rainbows. Going through it again is a bit of a trip. Might require some additional listening, but really really solid album too. Is it their best? Probably not. Stand out tracks: There There, Go To Sleep, Myxomatosis.
It's funny to listen back and realize what was considered 'good' music back then. Repetitive, off-key, monotonous vocals; Clangy but cheesy guitar riffs. To be fair, it's still better than the over-produced, auto-tuned garbage that we are forced to listen to today. Stand out tracks: Drugs, Life During Wartime.
Not exactly my kinda thing. Bit cheesy, but bluesy moments, bluesy progressions. Stand out tracks: can't help falling in live, suspicious minds.
Absolute banger. Fucking K. Dot making his mark after signing with Aftermath and Interscope. Stand out tracks: Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, Backseat Freestyle, and Compton (with Dr. Dre).
Classic. Two albums in one. So much creativity. So many genres. So different to everything else that came before. Stand out tracks: The Way You Move, GhettoMusick, Roses, Hey Ya!
Wow. I didn't want to judge T-Swizzle on just the fact that she's Taylor Swift... so I actually listened to this album. To be fair, probably could've just skipped that part. Bland. Uninteresting. Pointless. Drivel... Maybe it's just not MY thing, but I could quite happily have died having not listened to this. I hope the other 1000 albums live up to the name a bit more than this. #sad Stand out tracks: possibly that one where she pretends to be a murderer? :\
I'm not super familiar with Depeche Mode, but this music feels a bit dated. The 80's synths, the goth / emo kid aesthetic. The instrumentation and arrangements are beautiful. Not really sure if I'm feeling the lyrics though. Still, fun to listen to. Might have to give it another shot. Stand out tracks: Personal Jesus, Halo, Policy of Truth
Not bad. Not great. I guess this was Britpop/Britrock before Oasis came along and beat them at their own game. Stand out tracks: Girls & Boys, Parklife.
Maaate. Instant classic. EZ 5-stars. I remember as a kid, I borrowed this album AND Enter the 36 Chambers from a friend at school (the he himself had *borrowed* from his older brother). That day, my musical tastes really started to develop, mature, and evolve. Never looked back since. Stand out tracks: Killing in the Name, Bombtrack, Wake Up (used at the end of The Matrix movie), all of them, really.
Yeah, maybe not my kinda thing. I appreciate the themes and complexity of the music - good stuff - but there's only so long I can allow my ears to bleed. I have heard and like some other Metallica songs, but I'm not really into this kind of thrash / heavy metal, so this album doesn't really do it for me. Stand out tracks: One, Harvester of Sorrow.
I have heard of Cheap Trick - probably from Guitar Hero 2? but I'm pretty sure that's it. Never heard anything else they have done. This is a live album so a bit of a different vibe, but yeah, not sure what else to add. The music itself feels a bit dated. Not the worst, but I'm pretty sure if I was alive at the time, Cheap Trick wouldn't have been my first pick. Stand out tracks: Surrender, I Want You to Want Me.

I know of Air from the Moon Safari album - cruisey beats and cheesy synth-pop soundscapes. This album is a soundtrack. A bit darker and more moody / edgy. Pretty good. Might need more listens. Stand out tracks: Playground Love, Dirty Trip, Ghost Song
Wow. It took me a song or two to realize that the female singer was Björk. Some interesting tunes in there, definitely its own vibe. The spoken word stuff didn't really do it for me. Probably could do with another listen, just not sure if I'll ever get to it. Stand out tracks: Birthday, Motor Crash.
Yeah, cool. The hard-panned guitars get a bit grating after a while. Couple of decent tunes though. Stand out tracks: Can You Hear Me Knocking, Wild Horses, Bitch.
Never listened to Black Sabbath before. Crazy. This is much better than I was expecting. Actually, pretty good. Already on my second listen through. Stand out tracks: Changes (love the Charles Bradley cover), Snowblind, Wheels of Confusion / The Straightener.
Never heard of these guys before... but not too bad, actually. I'm kinda getting an old Crowded House vibe listening to this - probably in the vocals and pop structure of the music... might also be the cheese-factor. Dunno? Still, pretty good. Might give it another listen down the track. Stand out tracks: Bonny, When Love Breaks Down.
Yeah, cool. Classic brit rock. The hairdos - classic. The sound - classic. The one-armed drummer - amazing. Some crackin' tunes in here. Stand out tracks: Pour Some Sugar On It, Love Bites, Hysteria.
Wow. Conveniently timed album, ey random generator *wink. Folky, poppy, rock. Not really my kinda thing. Bonus points for having Jeff Buckley cover one of these songs. Stand out tracks: I Know It's Over.
Very cool music. Groovin' bass, funky hammond organ, great guitar riffs. This stuff has been sampled by every hip-hop producer out there. Stand out tracks: Listen to the Music, Summer Breeze, That Lady.
Step 1: go to Irish bar, drink enough Guinness to get blackout drunk; Step 2: start a bar fight, punch a dwarf in the face; Step 3: punch yourself in the face, lose a few teeth; Step 4: apologize by buying everyone a round of whiskey, perform karaoke singing Irish folk tunes with the entire bar; Step 6: become The Pogues. Stand out tracks: A Pair of Brown Eyes.
Yeah... okay. Stand out tracks: Down by the River.
Polly Jean at her rawest. Great stuff. Not my favourite... but definitely worth a listen or two. Stand out tracks: Rid of Me, 50 Ft Queenie, Dry.
Yeah, not bad. I wish I had a Dutch millionaire supporting me for a few years. Stand out tracks: School, Bloody Well Right.
It's the kinda music I should like. She definitely has an interesting voice. Just feels a bit boring. Stand out tracks: Heads Will Roll.
Slow. Crooning. Pure Scott. Moments of brilliance. Mostly monotonous. Stand out tracks: The World's Strongest Man, The Seventh Seal.
Yeah, The Killers. Never really grabbed me, these guys. Some good tunes but not really sure why I never gravitated towards them more. Still, this album is pretty solid. Stand out tracks: Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I've Done.
Yeah, not bad. Not really my kinda thing, but it worked as background music while I was doing other things. Probably won't listen to it again. Stand out tracks: London's Burning, Janie Jones.
Yeah, really wasn't sure what to make of this album. Is it a joke? Did he sing about wanting to be a cat? Some funky moments in there. Wasn't too bad as background music, still, don't really know what I'm listening to. Stand out tracks: Drink Dat, Them Changes, Bus In These Streets.
I have heard of Fiona Apple, but never gave her a listen before. Not feeling like I have missed out on too much though. This album contains a bunch of 'ditties' with weirdly specific personal messages and something more akin to beat poetry or spoken word than singing. Not really my cup of tea. Stand out tracks: Under the Table, Rack of His.
I actually don't mind Simply Red, but this album may not be his best work. Not bad, but not particularly memorable. Stand out tracks: Holding Back the Years.
Sounds like the kinda album Kanye would sample the shit out of. Pretty good stuff. Dusty can sing. Bonus points for being included on a Tarantino soundtrack. Stand out tracks: Son of a Preacher Man.
Screechy guitars and 80's synth electronica music. Should be my thing. Wasn't super excited. Stand out tracks: Tonight.
Oofff. Recording quality is pretty bad. Tunes are solid though. Some nice rock and blues covers. Good stuff. Stand out tracks: Roll Over Beethoven, Good Golly Miss Molly, Have Love, Will Travel.
Poppy funk. Pretty good stuff. Stand out tracks: Chic Cheer, Le Freak.
I really tried to like this... but I have heard feral cats fighting in the streets that sing a sweeter song than this guy. He can certainly rock a guitar, but seriously, who let him touch a microphone? Stand out tracks: Mansion On The Hill, Love and Only Love, Mother Earth.
Never heard these guys before. Weird synths and samples. Clanging guitars. Chunky beats and bass. Actually not too bad. Pleasantly surprised by this album. Stand out tracks: Death Threat, Aisha, Dirge.
