Two great songs and then rest sounds too dated and inconsistent. 2.5 rounded up to 3
Lovely stuff
This was a really pleasant surprise. Opening track wonderful! I'm hearing (either influence / influenced) Lou Reed, Pixies, Arctic Monkeys, Elastica and much more I can't quite pinpoint.
This really grew on me.
Whirlwind. Tight album
This was tolerable when it came out, and it had to be because it was on in almost every teenage bedroom. Listening now, my tolerance has gone. Poor vocals, meaningless lyrics, early years chord patterns. My opinion probably influenced by what intolerable ****s they are, but was still glad when it finished.
Superb album, very well produced
Perfectly fine bit of psychedelica. Made for a pleasant background for my train ride without ever really standing out
This is where ratings are a bit hard. I get this album is a ‘classic’, I didn’t hate it, but I wouldn’t listen again.
Sounds like a group of middle aged men jamming in a shed in Surrey. Just wangs off into sweeping solos for no reason.
Two stars for the nostalgia, but the album/sound didn't hold together for me like I thought it would.
Chaotic and brilliant.
Loads of great memories flooding back. Brilliant songwriting and some huge tracks.
Slow, moody build up...crescendo! Slow, moody build up...crescendo! Rinse and repeat. Album full of 'edgy' X-Factor audition choices. Can imagine Louis Walsh saying "I like this girl, she's different".
yeah, great stuff. Awesome start obv, but I find bits of the album drift here and there. Overall great to re-listen
Great opening track and the rest is also really listenable.
