Wild Is The Wind
Nina SimoneGlad to listen to it, but not my jam. In general: 4/10 My rating: 2/10

Honestly not my favorite album. I was only able to get in half a listen though lol. It just felt a little too like a garage band. There’s a lot of spoken lyrics and it doesn’t seem to have anything really unique. In general: 6/10 My rating: 4/10
This album is intricate and extremely skillful. You can tell how intentional each move is and it sounds so fluid and put together. It’s the epitome of free-spirited expert-level jazz. If I want to hear jazz music, I’ll pull up this album. That being said, I’m too much of a zoomer to listen to this casually. I need stuff with lyrics unless I’m studying or trying to zone out. In general: 7/10 My rating: 4/10
At the first chord of the first song, I thought “oh yeah I like this.” First chorus comes in, “oh yeah I really like this.” I took a closer look at the lyrics and I’m in love. I’m a sucker for hip hop, especially hip hop like this. Idk how I haven’t listened to Q-Tip yet, but I guess that means this album journey is important. In general: 8/10 My rating: 8/10
Steely Dan has a special place in my heart: I worked as a lifeguard in high school. We had a regular who would swim laps in the evening. One day I asked him if he had a preference in radio station, and that turned into a long conversation about music and bands. About a week later, I see him walk in to swim laps and he hands me a 3 part CD compilation of Steely Dan greatest hits. Listened to the crap out of those CDs. I’ve always listened to Steely Dan by songs, but I’m actually never listened to a full album front to back. Hell yeah I love it just as much. The groove, the funk the beat, the HORN INSTRUMENTS. Love. They create a sort of tension in the music that just makes you want to dance. The goddamn groove in the album. I’m general: 8/10 My rating: 8/10
Um so yeah, great album. Minus Maxwell’s Silver Hammer. That song ruined the album, great job Paul lol. But still great fucking album. This is the last album the Beatles recorded together, but the second to last that was released (Let It Be album was released afterwards bc they were trying to make the Get Back movie series, but that didn’t actually happen until 2021 lol). Come Together - banger Something - best love song ever written Maxwell's Silver Hammer - suck a dong Oh! Darling - ight, but a banger nonetheless Octopus's Garden - well it’s at least the best song Ringo ever wrote haha I Want You (She's So Heavy) - absolute fucking brilliance Here Comes the Sun - gorgeous, thank you George <3 Because - heart melting You Never Give Me Your Money - stunning piano Sun King - always sounds like a peaceful summer night Mean Mr. Mustard - I mean, it’s ight haha Polythene Pam - I mean, it’s ight haha She Came In Through the Bathroom Window - a bangin song about a prostitute bangin? Hell yeah Golden Slumbers - sweetest lil lullaby Carry That Weight - so sad bc you know it’s getting near to the end. Great reprise of You Never Give Me Your Money The End - absolutely fantastic, but so sad bc this is the last song the Beatles wrote and recorded. They all have rockin solos Her Majesty - the Beatles shortest song ever. Also, very overused in memes right now. In general: 9/10 My rating: 9/10
This whole album just sounded like Yellow lol. If that’s your vibe, this is the album for you In general: 5/10 My rating: 3/10
I’m a sucker for the 80s glam rock stuff, but didn’t get much of a chance to listen to this album. How good did it seem from what I heard? 6/10. How likely am I to seek it out again? 3/10.
Never heard of the band or any of their songs, but I’m intrigued within the first few seconds. Only listened to it once, but kinda sounded a little too indie for my liking. In general: 2/10 My rating 2/10
Glad to listen to it, but not my jam. In general: 4/10 My rating: 2/10
Didn’t get to listen to this album a ton, but I love it! Definitely going to be listening to this again. My rating: 6/10
Love the beastie boys!! I didn’t really get the chance to listen to this album, but I’ve heard a couple songs from it and love it! This will be a rating of the beastie boys overall. My rating: 7/10
Don’t love it, don’t hate it. Didn’t get to listen much, but didn’t like what I heard lol. I’ll give it an honorary 2/5
Appreciate it for what it is, but not my cuppa tea.
This album has a lot of great, chill vibes. At first it sounded pretty unremarkable, but after a few listens, it sounds like some good beats to relax to. However, it still sounds kind of run of the mill
Stellar homage to Sgt. Peppers. First song sounds pretty techy for the 60s lol. Didn’t get to read about this album, but I’m 100% certain it’s all just making fun of the Beatles - and I’m here for it lol
You had me at “‘82.” I just love the 80s vibe, so it’s a good start for me. Didn’t get much of a chance to listen to the rest of it
I really enjoyed this album. It was a chill listen and the songs were creative.
I love this album! I made a song by song commentary, but it didn’t save lol. It’s just so damn groovy and catchy. All the chords are so luscious. It’s so fun to play on piano too. I already had 6/10 of these songs liked on Spotify lol. Now it’s 10/10 and I can’t give this album anything other than that. Beautiful and masterful
Did I really have to listen to this whole album just to hear “the boys are back in town”? Not a fan. The album sounded like AI created it by listening to only 10 hours of only the B sides of 70s rock albums.
Only got to listen to this one, but it was pretty good! Nothing to write home about though
It’s a nice listen, but not something I would seek out.
Classic
Didn’t get to listen too much, but I like what I heard!
Wish I had more time to listen, but I like what I heard. Will listen again
I listened to this album a few separate times over the weekend and I swear I don’t remember it at all.
Kinda my vibes, but didn’t get to listen enough
It’s alright
All kinda jumbled together the few times I tried to listen. Nothing shocking honestly
Classic. I forgot how many of these songs I knew already and loved. The grunge and bite is fantastic. Honestly 9/10
