Lazy, Highway Star and Smoke on the Water are certainly three iconic rock music pieces that are remembered by anyone having been young at that time.

One single word: overproduced. The record starts with a set of songs that all hear the same, beautifully produced pop sounds, intro by some choir either men or women and then mixed, and then the lyrics by Kayne. In the middle there are some more raw RAP songs. That sounds actually quite interesting from time to time. At the end it comes back to the same style as with the start of the record and then he closes with a song that disparages democracy. My summary: kind of boring, too much of the same, not my preferred choice.

Das war erst 2007? Hatte das nun eher in den 90er verortet. Super Platte. Anleihen von Genesis, aber frischer bewegender umgesetzt, nicht so vergeistigt. Top Platte stimmt alles. Macht Spaß zu hören.

Was für ein Debut Album. Auch heute 30 Jahre später klingt die Musik noch Topaktuell. Schade dass Steely Dan nicht wie die Rolling Stones überdauert haben. Die Band hätte es verdient gehabt. Grossartige Musik, Gitarren betont, aber nicht alleine rockig. Viele Elemente aus verschiedentlichen Richtungen. Einfach grossartig.

Cooler Country Rock. Ebenfalls ein Meilenstein. Wunderbares Zusammenspiel von Music und der Gesänge der drei. Kann man auch nach mehr als 50 Jahren noch genussvoll hören.

Phew, it may be that the album was at the forefront at the time of appearance. Listening to it today, hearing 15 times the same song (well almost) has been a challenge. Not my kind of music, can do without that.

Very variable voice singing. Very interesting sound. Varying instrumentation and therefore also sound. Grabs attention. I like the way the cadences flow. Some songs are also very melodic. A surprising piece indeed. Did not know that before. Rhythms also vary from song to song. So nothing boring, nice to listen to. The first album that brought me to discover more of them. Like "End Come too soon". But honestly Smother is the album that is better than Two Dancers. Thanks for showing me "Wild Beasts".

Soundteppiche; zuerst ein fesselnder Klang; aber dann die ersten drei Lieder immer das gleiche; bin mir nicht klar, ob ich die Platte zu Ende anhöre; nächstes Lied klingt dann anders allerdings mit sehr simpler Klangteppich und Melodieführung; herausragende Musik? Na da stelle ich mir schon etwas anderes vor.
