Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Dec 26 2022

Unbelievable all round. What a trio. Great bass, fantastic drumming and obviously…Hendrix!!! If I’d listened to this in 1967 I’d probably have shit my pants, then taken acid and listened to it again immediately.

Dust by Screaming Trees
Dec 27 2022

Like Nirvana and the Goo Goo Dolls had an illegitimate love child. Not my kind of thing at all. Can’t really believe these guys were considered grunge. Not an awful album musically or anything, just not my thing and none of the songs have much to say or hit particularly deep in my opinion.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Dec 28 2022

What an album. Messy and beautiful. Heroin is the stand out track for me, Lou Reed is an unpretentious yet profound lyricist. Nico’s odd vocals are some how hauntingly powerful. A dark and sexy album. What a year 1967 was for psychedelic music.

Slippery When Wet by Bon Jovi
Dec 30 2022

4 stars for the fact it has 3 amazing hits on it and that they are all actually solid musicians. Sambora in particular is great. Trashy, broad, stadium rock mostly though

Young Americans by David Bowie
Dec 31 2022

How he shifted so seamlessly into a funk/soul style is unbelievable. A true artist. Great album.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Jan 01 2023

Starts very strong but begins to dwindle toward the end. What a fucking voice though.
