Half-way through and I feel like it would be good background music; enjoyed track number 2 the best (turns out it's the most popular song off the album). Nina has a unique voice, deep and strong. Second half feels stronger.
Enjoyed the second half more than the first half, but loved the songs "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)" which bookend the album. Sounded like classic Neil Young with some more interesting heavier rock later in the album. The line "better to burn out than fade away" is present here which I've heard referenced a lot (not sure if I agree with it, but unfortunately pervasive in music i.e. Cobain, Staley). I enjoyed the album overall, but wouldn't look to actively listen again. Great campfire music.
Terrible start for me, gets better at “Bus In These Streets” and actually enjoyed “Lava Lamp”. Not a fan of this genre so far. Tracks 8, 9, 10 were alright. And some decent tracks towards the end with some food features. Overall not my style.
Really enjoying the start to the album and loved the first half; second half became more jazzy and wasn't for me. Overall super great album and enjoyable.
First track was great (feat Santana, go figure), the rest I didn’t really enjoy.
A couple excellent songs on here that surprised me, “willow”, “champagne problems”, and “no body, no crime” were excellent. The rest I didn’t connect to, despite being very pretty songs. I probably wouldn’t listen to the album again, but saved those three songs.
Only song I could listen to is “Snuff” which I really enjoy. Album just isn’t for me; maybe someday?
Very little I enjoyed on this album. Overall the first half was better than the second half. Songs like "Get Duffy" and "Star" work, but otherwise a difficult album for me to get through.
This album is so 80s, incredibly catchy, with a couple songs that absolutely slap. Such a fun listen.
Not for me. DNF
First track starts really strong with “Crucify”, followed by “Girl”, falls off for me for the next two tracks, with “Winter” being solid. Kinda slows down for me after that.
First track was alright, didn’t enjoy much of the rest.
