good fucking album - the aesthetic was top tier with "you're my best friend" and bohemian rhapsody. really liked the opener song, i haven't listened to that in a while.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jan 16 2023

this is a VIBE - lots of good ass jams, SOME GOOD INSTRUMENTATION AND SOME TASTY BASS LICKS, it can get a bit repeatable but its a good jam to listen to when doing other things

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jan 19 2023

the guitars and the grooves were unexpected. it sounded like duran duran on certain songs. very funky like on tracks "Barbarism Begins At Home".

Suicide by Suicide

not my jam

Ace of Spades by Motörhead
Jan 23 2023

a classic - amazing guitar riffs and the energy is good

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 24 2023

really enjoyed the different styles. reminded me of some radiohead and indie rock. there were definitely some takes that were way harder than i was expecting but this album is really packed. highlights involve 1979, porcelina of vast oceans, zero, etc.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Jan 25 2023

it's punk whatever - most of the songs just melted in my brain and sounded like that one punk song. i dont care for it as its not my type of music.

Djam Leelii by Baaba Maal
Jan 26 2023

Some interesting soundscapes - really like the guitar work but they just started bleeding together

Jan 27 2023

strangely cohesive. love the variety of sounds and the samples are used really well. its like electropop but like way more indie and a bit more chill but then the sampling is like daft punk. pretty cool

The Cars by The Cars
Jan 30 2023

damn - so infectious - such great singles on the first half. the second half has some pretty good bops. im such a huge fan of how good the synth works with their sound. it can be a bit cheesy but damn so catchy. such good little guitar fills/riffs that interact with the rhythm guitar and bass.

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney
Feb 01 2023

things you say is literally an anime song and that is prob why its the only track i actually like album is just so loud and I GET IT but its hard to look at it and be like hell yea i got my tea in my comfy seat and BOOM SOUND AND DISSONANCE some of the guitar work on some of the songs are really good. HOWEVER the vocals have this weird vibrato that i cannot get over. i do not like it 2/5
