What the fuck
Very pleasantly surprised, had never listened to a Steely Dan track before, but this was great! Personal highlights were ‘Reelin in the years’, ‘Do it Again’, and ‘Midnite Cruiser’. Very catchy album and little to no filler songs
Not bad, too much of a slow burner for my liking, could’ve been a bit shorter. Cool sounds though
Not bad, cool instrumental parts, I thought her voice would grow on me. it did not.
Didn’t actually finish the album but the first part had very cool slow piano, not what I expected at all
Cool vibe to it, but that vibe doesn’t change or develop at all. I only know that one beach house song that went viral on tiktok and every track on this album I thought was that song. It’s not even on this album. Too samey
One of the best opening songs to an album ever. AH AH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AH
Unusually enjoyable prog rock. Pretty theatrical album but done well. Bloody well right is brilliant.
Hmmmm. The cure did it better. Cool for early 80s. Declined towards the end, why does one of the last tracks sound like a mighty boosh number?
Cool vibe to it. For 1967 it’s very impressive. But other than that didn’t really do it for me, probably had too high expectations. Sunshine of your love obvs recognisable and a tune. Didn’t really click with me other than that though.
Pleasantly surprised by this, although it loses me a bit when it gets heavier, actually enjoyed the funkier parts. They have a Linkin park x RHCP vibe to them. His voice is strongest when used for more melodic lines! Can defi hear the transition from 90s alt-metal into early 2000 metal rap stuff!
Incredible. Shame it’s not on Spotify. Can’t believe I’ve never heard it, the songwriting is impeccable, the chords and the horns. The whole vibe in general. LOVE IT
Starts off good, gimme all your lovin is classic blues rock, but then the vibe stays very much the same and doesn’t develop, bit of fun but not much else. Probs a 2.5 from me
THE rap album. No one has come close to it. This is everything Kendrick wants to be. Hip hop started here. 3 1/2
Pretty cool, really enjoyed the wave, which has an early foo fighters sound to it. Not huge on grunge but did well to compete with Nirvana
Never listened to T.rex before, obviously recognised get it on. Really enjoyed this one, such a cool vibe and for 1971 it’s very impressive, Marc Bolans voice is so cool and uses it really well.
Lift music. 2.5
Was a fine album, enjoyed ‘let me be him’, furled me through a good a workout. Nothing necessarily wrong with it just fairly uninteresting and didn’t do it for me. 2.5
One of the highlights of landfill indie. Great vibe throughout and obviously take me out is magnificent. Very strong 3.5
Pretty theatrical, alright, not much to say to be honest! 2.5
Enjoyed way more than expected! Felt sexy and powerful working out to this. Fun album very catchy hooks and rhythms.
What the fuck
Decent, dizzie rascal is a lot of fun, such an early noughties rap album, beats sound like the fresh meat soundtrack. Extra points because it was released on my second birthday
Not my fave Kanye album but decent still. Love a bit of bound 2
Smooth
Funky
Never listened to the stooges, enjoyed this though! 3.5
Cracker. Dads favourite album!
What an album. Peaceful easy feeling and take it easy are personal highlights. Eagles know how to write a song with ‘easy’ in the title.
Not a blues guy 1.5
Not as good as I thought it would be, but too moany for me. 2.5
Cool tbf
