1001 Albums Summary

Decent rock album, not a groundbreaking sound however and a lot of the songs have the same feel to them. Was not a very captivating listen but still enjoyable. Esp. Liked the vocal performance of backstreets together with the piano made it have a grand feel to it. Favourite Track: Backstreets / tenth avenue freeze out

+ captivating storytelling all the way through + spoken word / poetry elements elevates the first point further - monotone vocal performance --> less interesting. At times you wish for more raw emotion out of Lou. - lack of catchy riffs/basslines etc..

Great listen, would definitely return to the album in the future. 4/10

first listen, very new wavy. Apart from the last track which is iconic nothing really stands out to me as brilliant

A bit of a slow start, but by the mid/late point of the album I could see the charm of it all. I also get the feel like it has inspired many a modern electronic music producers. Favourite tracks: Kein Trink Wasser / Philosophy / Are We Here?

Great era of Coldplay! I enjoy the overall somber vibe, although it can be a bit repetetive over the course of the 41 minute runtime.
