Funky and soulful as you would expect from James Brown. I was only familiar with his hits, none of which were performed here. I'm also usually not a big fan of live albums but the audience reactions and upbeat instrumental bridges were charming.

Too discordant and experimental for my tastes

I cannot connect with Costello's voice -- too nasally.

Perfectly fine album. It didn't do anything special for me though. 3/5

I used to not like Bowie. Used to.

Let's Get It On is one of the greatest and most iconic love songs of all time -- that much is indisputable. I just wasn't in the mood for an album full of that.

I prefer prog when it progresses towards something more than a random assemblage of noises.

Country ain't my jam

One of the few CDs I kept in my car back in the day

Pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Rick Rubin, who produced this album, tells an interesting story about how he pitched covering Walk This Way to Run DMC as a way to introduce hip hop to the mainstream. It may be their most played song on Spotify, but it wasn't even my favorite from this album.
