My Aim Is True
Elvis CostelloNot a huge amount to say about this. Enjoyable for the most part, nothing to write home about though. Just a good 70s album, nothing more or less.

One of those cases where I can see why people would enjoy this but just not for me, there's just no through line for me to get attached to and nothing that sticks with me. But I can give props for not being some cookie cutter album and you miss 100% of the chances you don't take so it deserves props. The grandpa simpson quote comes to mind "I use to be with it, now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it is weird and scary to me"
I enjoyed this for the most part but just didn't quite get into it, like a car with a big engine the just won't turn over to start, lots of potental but never did it for me
One of the best rock albums, period. Its absolutly stunning. The boss, its pure brucy bliss. Other Bruce albums may have songs I prefer but there is not one on this that I dont like. 10/10 “You’ve just seen the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, house-rocking, earth-quaking, booty-shaking, Viagra-taking, love-making, legendary E STREET BAND!”
I love this album, so much. I remember liking it when I was younger and I like it even more now. Its just fun hit after fun hit. If this had la Grange on it would a perfect fun album. It's simple fun, makes me deeply happy. Just dudes being dudes
Faith is an absolute classic of a song. I just wish the rest of the album got the heights that it got to. The rest is okay but there is so much more there that could have been on this album, but having consulted the list, his better album is on the list so happy days.
Fantastic album, it has similar issues as pink moon as there is nothing that elevates the album but it is cohesive, beautiful and filled with fantastic songs. S tier through and though.
If I could give a "music that everyone likes award" it would be this, classics but nothing that is exceptional. It's just good, nothing more, nothing less
Seven sees of Rhye slaps, only hot space sucks more as an album.
This was fine, nothing to write home about. The post brit pop style has poduced some absolute bangers and some trash and this neither. Golden skans is quite good but the rest is just fine. If employment is not on this and this album then I would demote this. But as it stands it would be a 2.5 but no halfs allowed
I have to say I went in not knowing much about this album. But I have to say it just wasnt for me on any level. Musicly if felt lethargic and seemed to drag its feet through the dirt (pun intended). I feel like there is other albums of a similar genre that do it better. I'm not angry, just disappointed.
An absolute incredible album, not a bad song on it, however there isn't one song that takes it to a 5 star. Rhythmically interesting, the way it was recorded and the fact that it wasn't given the respect it deserved at the time it was reased resulting in nick drakes suicide, heart breaking.
This has been the most frustrating album for me so far. Musically and lyrics are fantastic, very touching and Marr real shines in this. But I cannot stand Morrissey, his singing sound pretentious, hammy and over the top. Most of the album is a 3-5 but the vocals drags the whole album down. All I can say at least there is no "charming man" or my personal hate of "heaven knows I'm miserable now"
Enjoyed this for the most part. It has the problem that other 70s albums are so much better that the sound that comes through for me is just okay. That said it does give me guardians of the galaxy vibes which does boost it a bit for me. Would be 3.5 but no half stars, booooo
Power to those who can find something in this. Just like chilli chocolate, just not for me.

Painfully average, I had remembered really enjoying this album growing up but nothing sticks out to me. Still nice to listen to but nothing of substance for me. Like my dad would say, it's bland and inoffensive
Really enjoyed this, way more than I thought I was going to. The late 90s early 00s sound is one that always sticks with me. Because even as a metal album it has a feeling of hope. The only way to encapsulated this for me is like eating take out, nice to have once in a while, if you have it every day there is something wrong.
I have a soft spot of for rush, and while this is not my favourite rush album, it still slaps for me. Only reason it's not a 5 is because I don't really like a passage to Bangkok. If you were to switch that with spirit of radio then we have one of the best albums of all time, no doubt. But as stands its a solid choice. Solid album

Walking home after work and seeing this was the album of the day and thinking "what a nice album to listen to today." *Ron Howard voice over* "it was not nice, in fact it only had one redeeming song"
For me this is one of my favourite albums of all time. Are there albums the bigger hits yes. With more notoriety, yes. But There is not a bad song here, not one. Every one is perfect (to me). The only way I can describe it is like having your favourite set menu of all your favourite foods. Alot of people won't want the same thing and that's fine. Just know Vienna waits for you.
