Youth And Young Manhood
Kings of LeonThis album is fucking awesome, I am bias and I will fight you if you disagree.

It's a great album, very 90's grunge and reminds me of an episode of Daria or Beavis and Butthead.
PJ Harvey makes music for an audience I don't think I will ever be able to understand, the best tracks on this album are... - One Line - Beautiful Feeling - This Mess We're In As someone who loves indie music really sad I didn't resonate with this album, although if Thom Yorke and PJ Harvey made an album together, I would be explore more. Large parts of this album feel like a cheap country album and the best parts are Thom Yorke.
This album doesn't contain the biggest songs of The Jam but it's solid, I can see how this album inspired bands like the Kaiser Chiefs, The Cure, The Libertines, The Smiths etc This is the first (of hopefully many) which is simply just outstanding.
This is such a great album, I didn't know this existed and the fact this is a debut album is more impressive. At points it sounds like some really premium lounge music. Other times it's got very cliche but enjoyable lyrics. Highlight for me would be Criminal. Excited to hear more from Fiona.
Really interesting album, cool lounge music, it feels like sitting in a garden, lying in the sun and just chilling. No particular highlight but Beth Hirsch add a lot to the tracks she is on.
This wasn't for me, very basic all around.
I understand Metallica are a iconic metal band but the layout for each song so predictable they are blend together... Excluding One I would struggle to identify any other song.
Solid album, it's just really pleasant to listen too. If you liked this then listen to The Suburbs
What a strange record, interesting take on a pop album, it feels like a theatre production tried to do Brit Pop. Lyrical it's very silly with comparisons to sheep, horses and dogs. Nothing stands out it was fun.
Awful, Actual Garbage
Context: I don't know much about Folk music at all. Listens: 1 Opinion: The album is really pleasant, easy going. Nothing really mind blowing but nice. Highlight: None I would be interested in hearing more Folk music from different artists for sure.
Context: I had only ever heard Marvin Gaye in TV show's so this was a completely new experience. Listens: 1 This is a very good album, Marvin Gaye has an amazing voice. Enjoyed this through pretty much. However with an opener that strong, everything else almost feels less impressive.
I love this album, what a genuine surprise, I have already listened to it several times.
Context: I only know 1 track by Underworld. Listens: 1 (Barely) This album is the pure spirit of 90's dance music and the way that tracks are built are really impressive and way beyond it's time. Saying that although I can appreciate this is a fantastic album, this didn't really hit for me.
Context: I heard the Jam previously in the listening to All Mod Cons, which I loved. Listens: 3 Opinion: Knowing what I know about hearing the Greatest Hits and All Mod Cons, I knew what I was going to get and I wasn't disappointed, this is the sort of album that I could have played in any University dorm and it would still slap. Highlights: - Monday - That's Entertainment - Start - Pretty Green My favourite album so far, it's so fun and loses nothing after 43 years, absolute banger.
This is a solid old country album, there is nothing that I don't like, and as someone that doesn't like country that's impressive. This is a 3, nothing stood out but nothing was painful or hurt to listen to.
Context: I had heard the cure from indie nights out in the early 2000's but only really knew 1 song, "Friday, I'm in Love". Listens: 1 Opinion: I had an idea of what the cure would sound like in my head but this completely expanded my view of what the band was capable of. This is an album that feels like 8 really deep cuts but they are all interesting, moody, and feel heavy. Highlights: - Cold - Siamese Twins - A Strange Day This is a really good album and I am definitely excited to explore more of the cure.
Context: Only knew a few songs from Aerosmith Listens: 1 This album is very surprising as I wasn't expecting any Blues music but you can almost feel the band transition to their more well know sound in tracks like Walk this Way and Sweet Emotion, fun listen.
This album is fucking awesome, I am bias and I will fight you if you disagree.
Nope, production is incredible but lyrically this is pure garbage, Lorde... No Thanks :)
Garbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage
It's okay, but the Red Hot Chilli Peppers did it better
