1001 Albums Summary

Meh.

Not their best, but close. Definitely the best of the synthesizer era. (Not including Moving Pictures in that era). Just got my 40th anniversary box set a couple of months ago.

Meh. Didn't like it 30 years ago. Sad to say I still don't.

A surprise for me. Had heard Izzo before, but was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the album.

An all-time favorite. Had this on cassette as a kid!

Classic Morrison and the Doors! Haven't listened to this all the way through in at least 30 years. Still hits it for me. Probably because I'm so much closer to when it came out and get the cultural references. Hope they throw in some Hendrix and Joplin, too.

Another surprise for me! Really enjoyed the throw back to my club days. Had heard the ubiquitous "Groove is in the Heart" but enjoyed the whole album.

Not a big fan. Interesting to hear the echoes of early Billy Joel, not sure if it is his accent in the vocals or some of the musical elements.

Not as good as I remembered. I recall getting this when it first came out and playing it all the time.
