It's Blitz!
Yeah Yeah YeahsGreat atmospheric album, electronic components gave it space-y vibe. Cool panning work in stereo

Tacky and corny, very much early glam rock. Good use of piano, very dramatic
Very energetic and fun, the drums carry the intense pace. Singing, harmonies and use of guitars makes them pop, although a bit raw.
Have known it before. Good use of steady, carrying beats, with lo-fi singing style that adds another dimension as if it’s an instrument. Sounds of the instruments feel isolated yet modified, creating complex sounds combination.
The music and his voice convey the same feeling of cynicism with happy melodies slowed way down to a almost creepy uneasy tempo, and his sometimes happy or whimsical lyrics sand with his dark, behind the beat style of singing.
Incredible music, incredible lyric writing, incredible playing and incorporating sounds. Stevie Wonder should be considered by me more in the greatest artist of all time conversation.
Early punk, probably better with context of the music scene. Basic premises but controversial topics with aggressive delivery, short songs.
Such a diverse sounding album. Some songs sound as I would expect an African music album, some sounded Brazilian or Latin of some sort, and some sounded like modern rock and pop beats. Some songs were very meditative, and the recording quality is good enough to soak up all the diverse interesting sounds, only wish I knew what he was singing.
Every song on the album is amazing. One of my all time favorites, Amy’s voice is chilling and I could listen to it all day, her writing is intense, sad and very personal. The production is big and dramatic with big resonating drums and a lot of horns.
Couldn’t get through the whole album, drums are excessive and that’s probably intentional and the point but for me it disrupts the rest. Singing is actually quite clean and impressive, sounds a bit like an Ozzy Osbourne impression and probably inspired by Sabbath and tried to put their spin on it.
Big echoey sound, a bit similar to u2’s sound. Very 80’s, good songwriting.
Cool sound, at times very funky while incorporating many unique chord progressions with a slightly jazzy sound. At times a bit boring, due to the drum beat sitting far behind the instruments in the mix and being a steady beat.
Funky like Michael is, but a bit more soulful and R&Bish than Thriller. Amazing use of his amazing voice, great use of bass and drums that carry the songs energy.
Interesting in its use of brass, kinda adds a slight ska element to what is mostly a very raw pop-punk.
Crazy sound, the way they make random electronic sounds come together as music is unique. The addition of powerful bass give the whole thing more depth and Tom’s vocals are just artsy and beautiful. Must listen to this album while tripping.
Just amazing. The way Bob Marley can use Reggae for fun boppy music, powerful protest songs, and mellow love songs is just astounding. All of the instruments and background vocals blend together in perfect harmony to convey the experience.
Deep versatile voice, a lot of the songs carried by it. Surprisingly diverse beyond take on me, but very 80s.
Not as good as the classic Bob Dylan albums, more mature and raspy voice, the melodies are a bit heavy and don’t feel as free flowing as his earlier music.
Really interesting sound combining punk drive and messages with playful ska music and great use of the different voices and vibes in the band. Really set a feeling of being in the English street in the late 70s.
Love the romantic, mellow, voice lead sound. The soft use of strings and brass, the stripped down guitar, and the crooning style in which he sings. Moving and soothing.
The U2 sound is cool, the Edge’s playing style is unique and very big. Not as good as their other albums, but cool use of effects and electronics with a rock base.
Good drive forward on the songs, driven a lot by very tight rhythm section, the distorted guitar adds drama along with Mike Patton’s incredible delivery, that adds depth, drama and a sort of mystery. Use of keys and pedals is also a depth adding element.
Amazing! So funky and bluesy, the drive forward from the guitar leads the whole thing but the powerfully steady rhythm section really lets you gets sucked in, along with the live singing which makes you feel as if you’re there and seeing him.
Cool futuristic sound, made with hollow spacy beats and synthesized sounds. Can feel the Beatles and David Bowie influences in some of the more upbeat direct songs.
Solid Alt Rock, they get a stoner feel from the loose repetitive drum beat and the minimal use of electronic sounds. Cool young and raspy voice, cool way to have a isolated high pitched instrument - between ukulele, keys or guitar - give the songs a melodic touch beyond the singing.
Didn’t listen all the way through, but the Dead are the Dead - beautiful guitar harmonies and vocal harmonies, lyrics that are just in the right spot of cryptic and telling a story. Better in live versions but this is a solid album.
Electro house isn’t my natural jam, but this album keeps itself interesting with constant variations in rhythm, sounds and vocals if they’re in the song. Love getting that thought about what turns just random sounds into music and this album was thought provoking in that regard.
Hella cool, unique beats and unique flow. Feels like a raw version of British rap like drill.
Funkiest ever. Best vibe ever, the funky rhythm section sits so perfectly with the bass singing-narrating, the singing is just an instrument used for a rhythmic melodic function. What they do they do the best.
Extremely energetic, very violent and strange lyrics. Not my cup of tea.
Like the middle between the Beatles and the Clash. Great drumming and vocals leading the forward drive with energy, even with Daltrey’s voice still young and raw. Fun harmonizing feels kind of out of place considering later albums, but fits their silly style perfectly and foreshadows the vibe of several later songs.
Classic blues, folky and kind of repetitive. His voice is amazing and powerful, raspy but clear.
Odd and high paced, but actually really fun. At times creepy but sometimes funny, often being very weird.
Dramatic and grand. The virtuoso playing of the instruments with emphasis on the drums , together with the haunting high pitched beautiful singing voice.
First song sounded familiar as White Stripes, but the rest of the songs were very interesting, a lot of piano and song more melodic use his voice than what I know. Still has the distinct Jack White sound with his iconic voice and slide guitar.
Very very surprising! The whole album is very melodic, very old school hard rock, the singing is great and the songwriting is satisfying.
This album has a warm place in my heart. I can sing every drum fill, the energy delivered is perfect. What they did, the did at the highest level.
Very Elvis, he was eccentric from the beginning, the album is solid blues rock n roll, and the silliness he brings to some songs really is unique.
So fun! Kinda quirky and eccentric punky, but the vibes are so so uplifting and put me in a good mood.
Beautiful, Edge’s emotional expansive guitar and Bono’s amazing vocal performance really carry this to all time legend status.
Great folk, the deep lyricism that touches social justice as well as personal emotion, and Tracy’s vocal delivery that is touching when it needs to be and powerful when it needs to be.
Loved it! A great combination of energy similar to other modern rock bands with an old timy sense of creativity. The singer sounds like a proper rock star, and the band always rocks, sometimes reminding me of the specials and then jumping to Arctic Monkeys and then Green Day and then the Doors.
