The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe

this album earns its grand presentation for sureee— the songs are just so good and somehow they all feel connected even as they pull from such disparate influences. janelle monae’s singular presence acts as the uniting force between these separate ideas,, like genuinely i don’t think anyone else could pull this album off. and also she’s a robot which is sooo awesome

wow! my heart is full! just songs that make you feel good, hit you right where they need to. obviously not similar to what i'd normally listen to but how could i not love this?? the flow of the album is great too, not a wasted moment. his little interjections and audience interactions are so charming. i'm charmed! standout- bring it on home to me

Third by Portishead
Sep 27 2023

first album that's come up that i've heard before wooo! haven't listened to this one in a whiiile and it's even better than i remember it-- so foreboding and anxious and yet such a satisfying listen. the sequencing and transitions are flawless and the overall dark atmosphere makes the lighter moments like the rip even more transcendent. prooob my fave album that's come up so far! standout- the rip
