Literally grew up with a Boss obsessed father so quite funny to hear this as my first suggestion! Great album!

Funky, soulful, and a very clever reimagining of Leonard Cohen for the late 80s/90s. 3.7

Groundbreaking sound, fantastic arrangements, superbly written, really worth its 1001 title in the modern age. 4.5

Really good album, had heard it once before (when it came out it got a really high review score on pitchfork) but gave it more time today to listen through. Some brilliant songs on there and the whole things got a very coherent musical style and percussion that’s quite unique sounding. 4.5

Orchestral Sex music. Track 4 has a 9 minute spoken word introduction. Half a point for the cover and the first track, which was also a cover. Hard avoid. 1.0

My first perfect 5 score. It really is totally faultless, so imaginative and delivered with so much vitriol from start to finish. Started a revolution in music. So often imitated but as always the original always triumphs. Chefs kiss
